UK Europe Prepaid SIM - Loaded with Voice, Data, Texts, and Int'l Calling

DO NOT GET THIS SIMCARD. It literally DID NOT WORK at all when I was in ANY part of Europe. Activating the card was simple enough; follow the instructions, deposit the credit, etc. I did this in the US before I left but that was kind of a mistake because it didn't even work here as some other reviews stated. small hindrance, but not a deal breaker.Landed in Barcelona and tried to use it and Nothing. not even roaming to piggyback off of other cell networks. Strike 1. Now that could be my fault since I didnt check the coverage area, which it looked like it was mostly UK based, which was fine since I was going to go to London later anyway. HOWEVER, the description on the product explicitly stated that it will work in other EU countries, including Barcelona, Italy, Switzerland, France, and the UK (spoiler alert: it didnt work in the UK).Strike 2 for not working in the other countries I listed above (all places I visited),and Strike 3 for not working in London where the company is allegedly based out of.All of the above accounts mostly for the DATA usage. The call usage was not used as much. however, If you are traveling alone like I was, Data will be your best friend out there.Verdict: Skip this product ENTIRELY. Now I'm sure Vodafone works with other carriers or other EU carriers, but if you are a US citizen, it could prove more trouble than it was worth.A Better Alternative: I got an Orange sim card out in Barcelona and it worked really well out there. similar speeds to the US while in Barcelona. Great service and reception in Venice and Rome. Switzerland was a dead zone (but that was mentioned when I bought the sim card so that gets a pass). Paris I had some issues with it for some reason so I ended up switching back to my T-Mobile regular card and kept T-Mobile for the duration of my trip.My Setup @ the time of trip (Sept-Oct 2018):Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (T-Mobile, but unlocked for trip)

I'm going to Europe next week but already I'm having problems setting this thing up, I have followed instructions but doesn't work, help line gets a busy signal, I thought Vodafone would be good being a big company, see how it goes next week

It did not work well in Ireland because it had a U.K. number that made our bank think our phone had been stolen. The ad said it worked in Ireland and that may have been technically correct but the bank froze our credit accounts It was discarded

Purchased card for a trip to Italy. When it arrived, followed the instructions from B4iTravel. The instructions come with vouchers that you either call or text to activate. Received one of the vouchers and not the other 2. Contacted customer service and spent 3 hours emailing to no avail. Returning the card.Update 1: There are 4 steps that load money vouchers onto your account. These must be entered by calling their special numbers beginning with *#. I was concerned that each call was terminated with a busy signal, although customer service though it OK. I googled "entering vouchers" and learned that the calls should be terminated with a # sign. This was not in the instructions, but once doing so, a Vodaphone voice explained credit was applied at the end of the call. Once loading all 4, I checked my balance by calling 2345 and all of what I purchased was available. I'm happy, decide not to return it, and fly to Italy.Update 2: Once in Italy, I power my phone on, and it doesn't seem to work. I check my balance by dialing 2345. All data, voice, text and credit now stands at ZERO. I'm again trying to resolve this, staying close to Wi-Fi so I can email.

Product doesn't have support needed for seamless transition. The B4U go number wasn't able to help load the card. The data included was not enough to use the phone as GPS.

Leaving for Europe soon, but have already done the prescribed activation and 4 (easy) bundle loading steps. So far, so good. Written instructions, in English, fairly clear, but see PAYG remark below. Purchased second SIM for travel partner. The instructions say you can insert SIM and get a text message(s) confirming connectivity, ie activation, without starting the clock on your 30 days of service, so I did this the day the SIMs arrived. The activation step created 2 APNs on my phones, with neither APN selected, so you need to select the PAYG APN (pay-as-you-go) before loading the bundle to start your 30-day service period. Curiously, each SIM reported a data allowance of only 2GB after bundle loading steps were finished. A quick online chat to Vodafone rectified this issue. I plan to update my review after my trip.UPDATE, AFTER TRIP: Not Recommended, lowering my rating to lowest possible level. One of two phones could not complete a call to the other, even though texting both ways seemed to work. Data for Google Maps worked OK. Spent an annoying amount of time in fruitless effort to fix voice calling to UK phone issue.

I found the instructions a bit confusing but had no trouble activating before I left for Italy. I ran through my £5 international credit and topped up dialing 2345 from my phone (easy and did not require my zip code). The package had plenty of air time and data but I wish they would have offered one with more international credits to start.

Bought this SIM card for a trip to Ireland. When I arrived, I followed the instructions to activate, but couldn’t get the phone to work. Call Vodaphone and spent 1 hour with the agent. She said she was able to activate the card and the phone should work now. Was only able to receive texts from Votafone. No data, couldn’t make or receive calls and couldn’t make or receive texts. Tried to return for refund from Amazon but was rejected. Don’t waste your money on this product.
