HENCKELS Heavy Duty Kitchen Shears that Come Apart, Dishwasher Safe, Black, Stainless Steel, Blue 10.25-inch

For clarity: The shears are 8" long. The product that is 10.25" is the shears in the plastic mold packaging. They are the same length as my 8" Wüsthof shears.That said, these are a great set of shears. Sharp, easy, agile. Do not be afraid to order a pair or two. They are a great way to avoid getting a cutting board dirty. Slices chicken ribs with ease, a great tool for deboning, and does all sorts of scissor things as well, like opening pan sausage tubes, cutting twine, snipping herbs, et al. My shears see more action than my knives in the kitchen, the star of the cutting block. The serrated edge is subtle but perfectly placed on the edge for a positive grip. Nothing to fuss at on the Henckels shears, a prime tool.

I bought these scissors to replace a pair that had been lost for a couple of weeks. If I had known what I had been putting up with, I would have lost the other pair much sooner.Two things make these scissors stand out:1) They are sharp! The quality of the edge is obvious to the eye, by feel, and in use.2) They don’t wobble! Take apart scissors are prone to wobbling at the joint. The machining of the joint on this pair is precise, and the joint itself is smaller than the one the lost pair. It is a simply a higher quality pair of scissors than others I have seen.The take apart feature is a must in our kitchen. I don’t know how I would have faith kitchen scissors were actually clean if I couldn’t take them apart and wash the joint itself.Very Happy!

I love that these come apart to clean. We got them to replace an old pair from the same brand where the plastic of one handle had split… but that pair also didn’t come apart, so this feels like and upgrade.

Amazon wrongly groups a lot of products together in the same grouping. My review is for the henkel's kitchen shears which were recommended by America's Test Kitchen. For the most part I love these shears and I'm going to buy a couple of extra pairs to have on hand so that I don't have to keep pulling them out of the dishwasher and washing them whenever I need them. They are very sharp, they're very Nimble and easy to cut with. They are meant to take apart for easy cleaning. However, they come apart way too easily which is frustrating if you open them past a certain point, then they just fall apart and you have to put them back together again. Not a big deal cuz it's easy to do, however it's very annoying. The only other thing that is a negative is that they are a little too tight so that it causes a little bit of fatigue when cutting. It could be just this pair. Will know for sure when I buy my additional pairs. I would definitely recommend these although the price has increased by about 35% since I bought my first pair which is absolute price gouging.
