Good
I bought this last summer and have had no problems so it is durable. Easy to use, just screw in the hose. The size is what you would expect. No leakage at the connection. The spray pattern is adjustable so you can use it anywhere. Overall a good value.

Good product
I purchased this as we reseeded our front Boulevard or the city did for us. I was tired of the cheap plastic sprinklers that you can only find at the hardware stores being in the landscaping field. I know Rainbird a lot of people have that for their houses so I’m like what the heck let me get her to try this thing, a solid brass I believe with the stake it is very high-quality and it shot ji problem. I have not used it again since that one year it’s actually sitting in my basement, but I know if I ever needed it again it would be ready to go.

This item is the best such item I have ever owned
This item is the best such item I have ever owned, and the best type. I have owned other kinds of sprinklers - oscillating and stationary as well as impact. I have had an underground sprinkler system also, and these Rainbirds work just as efficiently as the underground ones (which were Rainbird also). I am happy. The distance/throw is just as promised/advertised, and so is the operation. One thing makes me a bit unhappy: even though I have between 35-40 psi water pressure (which is within the range that this sprinkler expects), I notice what I would call a quirk: sometimes it begins to rotate immediately the water is turned on, and sometimes it doesn't. When it starts immediately, often, it stalls in one place but picks back up after about 90 seconds. When it doesn't rotate at start up, there is that same 90-120 second delay stuck, while it appears to "jerk" itself into motion, thereafter (whether immediate or delayed start-up) continuing properly thereafter. Sometimes, many minutes after it has found its pace, it stalls a bit, but after a month of usage, I am satisfied. With 35psi (I have well supply), I can attempt only one on a hose at a time (trying two, despite the ability to connect two or more to the same hose) severely restricted throw distance); if you have better pressure, I feel confident that you might fare better with connecting more. Since the product advertises 35 psi as within the range of use expected, and since it doesn't warn about a stationary period at start up as normal, I am going to assume that the delay in rotating that I've referenced, is a quirk, denying it that 5th star.

Decent Performance, but Some Drawbacks
The Rain Bird over-the-ground sprinkler does the job, but it’s not without its flaws. It covers a good area and is fairly easy to set up, which I appreciated. However, I found the water distribution to be a bit uneven at times, and the plastic components feel a little flimsy.

Very sturdy metal sprinkler that works well
I read several negative reviews of this item so when I ordered it I wasn't sure what to expect. I will tell you though that in my experience this is a quality product that I am very happy with. First, it isn't easy to find an impact sprinkler like this which connects to a hose. There are some out there but most are plastic pieces of junk that won't last very long. This is a sturdy and high quality metal which seems very rugged and should last for many uses.Second, I read a lot of complaints about the settings of the sprinkler and what it supposedly could or could not do. I will tell you that it is highly adjustable if you know what you are doing. You can set the distance and pattern with a little trial and error. There are no directions but it isn't really all that complicated.Third, I read a lot of complaints about not working well with low pressure. I am on a water well and pressure is never terribly high but it functions well for me. I would note, however, that when pressure drops sometimes it stops rotating because it does rely on a certain level of pressure to function properly. How much is enough? I can't say for certain but on a regular city water supply delivering normal pressure you would be more than fine. On a water well like I am it is still fine most of the time, but could be an issue if your pressure is too low. This is no different than pretty much any other sprinkler though so if its an issue with other sprinklers it probably is with this one as well.As a final note I would just say that I am very happy with this sprinkler head. It is every bit as good as permanent sprinkler heads like you find in an underground sprinkler system but can be moved wherever you want it. It is also very sturdy and can be adjusted to deliver water anywhere you want it.

Doesn’t fan at all! But it does drop a lot of water
Terrible throws far or a little less far! But it only drops a ton of water at a certain point! Doesn’t fan at all! I turn both screws all different ways same results

High Quality!
I am giving this product 5 stars even though I did not end up using it. This is clearly a really nice sprinkler that should last a very long time. The reason I opted not to use it is not the sprinklers fault. I have used this brand before and have always felt they were of good quality. So when I needed a new one I opted for the brass unit due to it being of higher quality than plastic. The issue I ran into is that when connected to a 50 foot hose through a timer my water pressure wasn’t quite high enough to activate the switch on this that allows it to oscillate. I tested it hooked directly to the spigot without a timer on a shorter hose and it worked fine, so obviously the sprinkler isn’t the problem. I ended up going with the plastic version of this unit instead and that is working for me perfectly. I will hold on to this and will probably use it sometime down the road.
