If you're not looking to make crazy bends in your riffs, go for it!
Usually I play the normal 9-42 gauge but I tried this one cause it was on sale and I gotta admit, I do enjoy the sound of this much more. I didn't normally play around with different string gauges but if you want a slightly deeper richer sound than your normal gauge, go for it. EB strings are definitely worth the money considering other companies also have similar price points with little variation. Also compared to other strings, I feel like EB are a lot more comfortable to play. The nickel wounding feels better on the fingers compared to other brands. I mean it's popular for a reason so definitely go for it!

Specific name to Recognize redily.
Performance is good. It is better to give some spcific name to the set of strings ( diameter mentioned on the string cover to avoid another Google reference ) so that it can be recognised readily.

Rusted within a month.
The high E string rusted and broke within a month, although its probably because I live in a very humid area. If you live in a relatively humid place and do heavy bending, I wouldn't recommend these.

Only for Djent/Metal Players
I've been using Ernie-ball strings since many years, tried different gauges. Recently moved to heavy djent stuffs,so I gave these strings a try. PACKAGING : 10/10 packing. The strings were just as new and shiny. TONE : Firstly first,I low-tuned the strings to Drop C,and holla!! It's sick! My guitar has humbucker pickups, and tbh, only these strings has made that dirty heavy metal tone. Great lows. The high strings are good as well, for clean. Won't recommend for shredding,as they are too thick. I prefer super slinky for that. Highs are not that screamy and thangy. COMFORT : The lows behave very well, even when on super low tunings. I won't recommend these for newbies and intermediate players as well,as they are quite thick. My hands get tired more often than while using other strings. Not good for tapping.

These strings sound great on a vintage style telecaster with alnico 5 single coils. I've tried different types of strings, but these sound the best on the telecaster. When it comes to guitar strings it's good to test out different types. The half set of 10s and 9s is great for rhythm and lead playing. The nickel wound gives a warm midrange tone that tames the harshness of a telecaster.

I have been using Ernie Ball strings for over 25 years, since I began playing guitar at 13 years old. And only recently did I just find out about how many different types of strings that E.B. actually has! I had grown accustomed to the Skinny Top Heavy Bottom ones for years, but I recently ordered these Mondo Slinkys, and they are Badass! A deeper, more heavy bottom end sound, and a more full and broad middle and high end on the smaller strings. Thank you Ernie Ball, I look fwd to trying more types soon!
