This is a great kit which allows connection into a number of fuse sockets in order to finally connect the right one. I had tried one fuse connection first for my Dash Cam, and although the fuse was for something that only works when the accs are switched on the dash cam did not respond in that manner, I then managed to use a different connection from the kit to connect to a different fuse which did the job. Unless you know exactly which fuse to connect to, this is the best kit to go for. It also offers the two dashcam power connections in case of ever changing it and needing the usb rather than mini usb!!

I probably didn't need to buy the official Nextbase one, a standard would would no doubt have been fine but this was only £3 more or so so why not. Installation is fine, it comes with many different sized fuse taps and fuses so you should be covered. Installation difficulty depends on the location and orientation of your fuse box I guess but its pretty easy. Maybe wear gloves the protect the back of your hand though, mine got scratched up quite a bit while rooting around in there. My installation was very tidy and is well hidden, its far better than having wires around my gearknob snaking down into the cigarette lighter. Having a multi-meter make this a lot easier when finding which fuse slots have power when and for finding a good ground.

On the whole this is a good purchase but unfortunately I found out it does not work with my aftermarket JVC DAB Stereo it interferes with the DAB Signal. Brought the official Nextbase Hardwire kit and it works Flawlessly with no interference at all including without Ferrite Core Which made no difference when I put one on this hardwire kit to stop interference Overall I'm going to keep to put in my Partners New Car when it's delivered to fit my old dash camera into her car so will update once fitted.

Solves a lot of problems

A well thought out product with all the different types of fuses. Very simple to install, it took ten minutes to do including hiding all the wires on my fiesta Mk7 and qashqai j11. No real expertise needed and the results are a great clean installation. Been in my vehicles for over a month now and they are operating superbly (both were purchased to install dash cams). Overall a nice addition to my transportation.

Great otme very happy

Just installed this into my car whilst hardwiring a Nextbase 412GW dashcam. Before buying this I was a little sceptical as I thought I should buy the nextbase branded cables, however this one was half the price and it included all the necessary fitments to connect into the fusebox. Thoroughly impressed so far, it remains to be seen how durable it will be over the coming days, months and years.

Installation was really simple. The most difficult part was identifying the right fuse to use in my car, the cigar lighter is a perm live so would have drained the battery. My only issue is that it almost completely interferes with the FM radio signal. There was slight interference with my dash cam anyway when used with the cigar lighter. However, when using this cable the interference is almost total. I have ordered some ferrite cores as this has been suggested in the questions and on various web forums, I will update once these arrive.
