Exactly what I was looking for and still working great.
UPDATE - October 10, 2024 Still going strong. Rubber pads still in place. It holds two bikes like a charm. One of the best purchases I have made on Amazon. I highly recommend. UPDATE - May 21, 2019 I can't believe I got this thing so long ago. It's still doing what I got it to do perfectly. UPDATE - January 4, 2016: Still working great. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase. UPDATE - September 28, 2015: Despite my earlier concerns, the rubber arms are still holding the bike with no signs of fatigue or wear. In addition, after so many times of taking the bike off and putting it on, I've gotten better about the arms not swaying away from me. I'm very pleased by this purchase and I've raised it five stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW - March 10, 2015: So, here's how it is. You have a home with an oversized walk-in closet, what modern day developers like to call: a single car garage. It can fit your car and maybe, just maybe, a row of boxes you keep telling yourself you'll sort through one day. When, or if, you finally get around to getting rid of those boxes, you can store your bike there. The problem is, getting your bike out without removing your car is like those scenes in the movies where someone has to remove an arming pin from a device without touching the sides. And if you're very lucky, you'll remember to fold in your car mirror before you carry your bike to that point. (Kind of similar to journeying to Mordor only to discover you left the One Ring in the Shire.) It gets old just thinking about it. So, the challenge was putting the bike some place where the car and the bike can be moved independently and still keeps the car safe from my invariable clumsiness. After looking at the various options on Amazon I decided to give the Delta Michelangelo Gravity Stand a shot. So far I'm pleased. Assembly was painless. I probably had the thing up in about twenty minutes. Even though they claim it doesn't need to be attached to the wall, it is worded as a prudent thing to do and I went ahead and did that. The last time I checked, the wall hook was not under any kind of tension. With the bike on the rack, the weight seems to stabilize the whole thing. Having had this for just over a month, I can say it does a fairly good job of keeping the bike out of the way until I need it. It has a small footprint and doesn't seem on the verge of falling apart. With warmer weather on the approach I'll be moving my bike much more soon so we'll see how it goes. I do have some caveats with this model so far. 1) The rubber arms holding the bike feel... weak. Maybe I just don't have faith in the plastic, rubber or whatever the material is, but I cringe every time I mount my bike back on the rack. It doesn't seem like it's going to break and I've tested it a bit and see no issues. Only time will tell if my concerns are justified or not. My bike is a Commuter Hybrid. Not heavy, but certainly not the space-age carbon fiber mithril composites of other bikes out there. 2) The arms tend to move when you're putting the bike in place. I hope that as I get more practiced at putting the bike back on the rack this will minimize. Until then, it's like the rack is trying to punk me. All in all, so far this rack impresses me. I'm giving it four stars however, because of my lack of faith in the rubber hooks, but I'll revise this post later this summer. For now, this rack affords me the opportunity to get to my bike and my car without having to sacrifice access to each other. Keep peddling!

Recommend for others, didn't work for me
I bought a second - mountain - bike recently and needed to figure out how to store it in my condo. Since I will not be using the mountain bike as often as my road bike, which I use almost every single day, I thought putting it up and out of the way would be great. Currently my daily driver hangs from a pulley and hook system. This has worked great for me, and I really like it (visible at the top of the photos - mountain bike is actually on the rack, not on the hanger). I really wanted and expected this rack to solve my bike storage needs, but after trying it I realized it just does not work for me. Pros: - Packaged nicely - Extremely easy to put together - Looks nice, light but sturdy - Definitely able to hold two bikes - Nice little padded thing at the top to protect your wall with a strap to secure it (I would absolutely recommend securing it) - The arms are adjustable both up and down and can swing out and in. Cons: - The arms were not long enough to hold my mountain bike (top in the photo) without the super wide handlebars hitting the wall and skewing the tire to the side - putting it right at face level and right in the way as I tried to go out the door, even when I tied the tire to the rack. Flipping the bike around meant the rear wheel blocked my door, and the rack had too much weight on one side and was leaning (for other logistical reasons, my road bike needs to face away from the door, and I want the bikes next to the door for ease of use and so they don't bring a lot of dirt into the house). - The top bike pedals were at face/head level, and I hit my head on them a couple times. - The bottom bike really wasn't held that high off the floor (any higher and the basket hit the wheel of the top bike when taking it on and off), so I don't think my Roomba would be able to get underneath. - The handlebars/wheel of the bottom bike also slewed around and stuck out. - The wheels on the bottom bike hit the legs of the rack, so it wasn't completely easy to load/unload. - The bike tires were going to mark up my wall. I have some vinyl on my wall already where I need to protect it from the bike, I would definitely have put up some more where the tires hit. - It's difficult for me to lift a mountain bike up that high. - The arm kept catching the cables underneath my top tube when I was trying to put the bottom bike on. I think in many situations this would be a great product, so I'd still recommend it, but it's just not meeting my needs. I am going to keep the road bike on the hangers, and I think I will put the mountain bike in a corner with one of those wall hooks that holds it vertically. It'll take up more space than this system, but having the bikes on this rack actually makes them more in the way, and it seems obnoxious to put them on and off.

Perfect for our mountain bikes (full suspension and hard tail)
It's awesome. Especially for mountain bikes. Stable, adjustable, modern looking, easy to assemble, and works great. I've hardly ever written a review for any product from Amazon. But I need to write this because I couldn't find any review written by users/buyers who are mounting mountain bikes. I read quite a few reviews on Amazon, bike sites, interior design, and general "cool s***" sites before buying the Delta Michelangelo stand, but I didn't find anyone commenting about hanging MTB bikes. I took 13 minutes to set up the stand from cutting open the box to leaning it against the wall. I'm pretty handy but I still followed the directions and didn't hurry. Some people have complained about weak parts that don't align or have bad bolt threads. I didn't have that at all. Everything lined up, the bolts tightened in, and it became a solid, piece of furniture with obvious engineering and design features. At first you notice that the arms from which you hang the bikes seem kind of long. But the length also makes them adjustable. You can twist the hook arms outward to engage different parts of your frame. If you try to hang your MTB bike directly from the bike's top tube with the arms straight out from the wall (ie, perpendicular to the wall), you'll find that the bike doesn't hang right. First, the bike will be quite far away from the wall and the bike won't hang evenly. Certainly not like the pictures on the websites for the product. For example, with the stand's arms at an even height on the vertical bars and perpendicular to the wall, the front tire of my wife's hard tail hung too low at first because of the angle of the top tube. Of course this would happen because the geometry and weight of a mountain bike simply isn't the same as a city or road bike whose top tube is generally straight and parallel to the pavement. You need to adjust the nicely adjustable parts of this product to make it work for you. I fiddled with different heights for each hook and with attaching the hooks at different points of the bikes' frames. By moving one hook up higher than the other a/o attaching it to the frame at a different place I was able to make both bikes hang evenly. For example, on my full suspension bike, one hook is under the seat and the other hook is under the front fork. That makes the bike hang in a position level to the ground with wheels parallel to the floor where there is maximum downward weight on both hooks which creates balance on the stands' legs. Also the bikes look good hanging parallel and even. In the end both our bikes are hanging evenly on a cool rack that uses minimal space. I have a lot of confidence in the design of the rack and hooks at this point. You might have to fiddle a bit with placement of the hooks and attachment points on you mountain bike but that's part of the fun of riding and owning bikes - trying, tweaking, and making it yours.

Easy to assemble and exceeded our expectations!
We needed a bike stand for the garage and we decided to purchase the Delta gravity model. Initially I was leaning toward the "rugged" model, then the normal two post model, then the one post model. I wasnt sure if the one post model would be sturdy enough, but it was! The bike stand was packaged very nice to prevent any scratches. Putting it together took less than 5 minutes - took longer to get everything out of the box. I was impressed with the build quality also. Once put together, we adjusted the mounting hooks for our bikes. It works perfectly and any doubts we had about purchasing the one pole model were eliminated. And we didnt have drill any holes or anything! I added a couple of pictures so you can see how we have it setup. Highly recommend if you're in the market for a bike stand!

*Exactly* what I needed.
I live in a tiny apartment (let's call it "cozy") and needed to get my bike up off the limited floor space. I tried a bike hanger thing, which was well designed but needed a stud in the wall to attach it to. My hall has NO studs, anywhere. Yep, even a stud finder agreed with me. I tried anyway, using those expanding wall anchors designed to hold on drywall. Though my road bike weighs only 19 pounds, after an interval the anchors pulled out leaving nice big holes I still need to spackle and hide from the landlord. This rack is exactly what I needed. I wish I had seen it first! I chose it over the one that was about $10 cheaper because the cheaper one had quality issues. This rack is weighty, sturdy, well made, with no rust, and with screws that are manufactured well enough to be... well... screwed. The picture shows the four regular, large hooks and one little baby hook for accessories. Mine actually came with two little baby hooks (bundled together as a set, so it is normal and not a packing mistake). I put it together in 10 minutes with the allen wrench provided. The only time you might need another tool is if you want to also install the little top strap that you can screw into the wall for added tip-over prevention. I found the strap totally redundant and did not install it. This thing is not going to tip over. But it's probably a liability thing and so they include it. If you have small children who might try to climb it or maybe a rambunctious dog you might consider installing the strap. To install it you need a screw driver (regular or phillips) and one screw of the type recommended for your wall. With this rack, you can adjust how far your bike hangs out from the wall by spreading the hooks wider or narrower. So if you have a wide handlebar bike that needs clearance, bring the hooks toward the center. Then your bike is further away from the wall and you have room for wide handlebars. My road bike is very narrow, and so I have the hooks spread wide to the left and right of the rack and can snug my bike right up against the wall. This is crucial for me, as i am using the rack in a narrow hallway. I really couldn't be happier with this rack. Wish I had gotten it earlier!

Decent Bike Rack with Some Limitations
I recently purchased the Delta Cycle 2 Bike Rack Garage Storage, and while it serves its purpose reasonably well, there are a few limitations that prevent me from fully recommending it. One of the significant advantages of this bike rack is its ease of installation. Unlike other bike racks that require drilling or mounting hardware, this gravity wall bike stand simply leans against the wall, making it convenient for those who don't want to damage their walls or go through a complex installation process. It offers a stable and secure storage solution for two bikes, helping to declutter the garage or any other storage space. The design of the bike rack is straightforward and functional. It securely holds the bikes in place, preventing them from tipping over or falling. The rack's adjustable arms allow for accommodating different sizes and styles of bikes, which is a convenient feature. Additionally, the rack's compact size does not take up much space, making it suitable for smaller garages or storage areas. However, there are a few limitations with this bike rack that should be considered. Firstly, the rack's stability relies heavily on the weight of the bikes. If the bikes are not positioned properly or if there is an imbalance in weight distribution, the rack can become unstable and prone to tipping. This can be a concern for those with heavier or bulkier bikes. Another drawback is that the rack's design does not allow for easy access to the bikes. To remove or store a bike, you have to lift it over the top bar of the rack, which can be cumbersome and potentially scratch the bike's frame. This inconvenience can be frustrating, especially if you frequently use your bikes and need quick and easy access to them. Lastly, the rack's build quality is adequate but not outstanding. While it holds the bikes securely, the materials used feel somewhat flimsy. The plastic parts, in particular, give a less durable impression, and I'm unsure about their long-term durability. In summary, the Delta Cycle 2 Bike Rack Garage Storage is a decent solution for storing bikes in a garage or storage area without drilling or mounting hardware. Its easy installation and adjustable design are commendable. However, the limitations regarding stability, access to the bikes, and build quality prevent it from earning a higher rating. If you have lighter bikes and can overlook these limitations, this bike rack may suffice for your needs. Otherwise, I would recommend exploring alternative options that offer more stability and easier access to your bikes.

Pure Applied Physics
You know....every once in a while you come across a product that is so simple yet so effective in its construction, its design, its usage and its effective minimalism. The Delta Michelangelo Gravity Stand doesn't cease to amaze me as to how the designer has applied pure physics to make this stand so effective. You don't have to drill a hole in the wall, it is a slim design which very nicely stands against a wall and can very easily take the weight of two bikes. At first when I bought this stand, I was skeptical in that how is it going to support the 2 bikes and not topple over. But once you follow the simple instructions and stand it against a wall you realize that the design uses simple physics and gravity to be so sturdy in spite of 2 bikes hanging on it. The curved L-shapes base design throws all the weight of the stand on to the wall and the stand is made long enough not only to just take 2 bikes but also so that you can do maintenance work on it without the stand moving at all. The curved base is not only just protruding toward the outside but also sideways so that ends up giving the stand very firm support to prevent it from toppling sideways as well. The other thing that is crazy good about this bike stand are the actual red-colored holders on which you suspend the bike. They are again designed very intelligently. In order to install them, you just need to turn it in the way the manual shows and they very effectively get snugly secure on the stand & hold the entire weight of the bike effortlessly without moving at all. The twisted holders are a clever construction in how they distribute the weight against the stand so effectively once you put the bike on them. Try it out, I highly recommend this stand. The cool thing is that even if you try to make it topple over it will still go and stick right back to the wall. I mean like you really have to be a jerk to really pull it down to make this stand fall. I love it when products use a minimalistic yet very intelligent design that uses external elements and concept of physics to make for a good product. Least amount of installation aggravation occurs while putting this stand together, yet it does an excellent job and is a great product for the price. Good job!!

After 2 years still rock solid. Amazing product
**EDIT*** After almost 2 years is still standing and rock solid. We didn't make any holes or buy a mat. It won our trust, we love it. We also hang the locks and helmets. **END EDIT** I like the product, it's a great idea, good design, easy to assemble and helps with the bike storage, specially for small places, and if you don't wanna make a hole on your wall. There's a big BUT , we don't feel is 100% secure. It's been a week and it hasn't felt, mostly because the bike at the bottom helps to make it stay in the same place. We did notice the bike rack slids down when there is only one bike at the top, I don't know if it is because of our floor (laminate wood floor), or other reason. Maybe we'll end buying a mat or making a hole, just to be sure it will stay in place. I guess we like it, but hasn't earned our trust yet.

Just what I was looking for
We have quite a small garage and needed to maximise the storage we have. We live in a rental so permanent wall anchors were not an option. This little guy fit the bill perfectly. The gravity stand is sturdy and doesn't seem like it will tip over, even when only the top bike is mounted - I ended up anchoring it to the wall with a screw just in case. The accessory hooks are also a nice bonus. Very much recommended.
