I found this level 1 book written for understanding of the scriptures most sacred of the Gaudiya Sampradaya, to be good for diving deeper into the themes behind ISKON basic principles.

Nice book to read to get Kirshna consciousness

There was only good to say about this book. It's a handbook for living. I loved it. A must have in your library.

As usual, in his purport to these verses from Srila Rupa Goswami, Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada reveals an ocean of meaning. The actual instruction here in Rupa's verses are simple. But when it is revealed to you, by Swami Prabhupada as to why we should consider them and follow them you will never look at the rules the same way again. This book will not only answer your questions about the 'nectar' of instructions, it will allow you to ask yourself deeper, more meaningful, questions than you have had the insight to ask before. Well worth reading more than once.
