Our dog had complications from his simple neuter. His incision ended up being 6 inches long and he had to keep him calm for over a week. I hate hard plastic cones. This was a life saver. He could easily navigate around the house without bumping into things but could not reach his stitches. He had no trouble sleeping with this on. Great product that eased his recovery.

These do work pretty good . I used these for all my rescues furkids. However , Jax the half chi/ Jack is 3 yrs old 14lbs He just has surgery on his gonads and dewclaws. He doesn't like the clear shield. * Which is what he needs this one for * so he found a way to chew the shield up. It's still zipped on however, I'm going to have to get him a cone of shame for when I can't keep my eye on him 24/7 . That bn said. I STILL LOVE THIS ONE!! ITS ADORABLE AND COMFY !!! Just wanted to share this for ppl who may need to consider if it foot or eye surgery . Ya might need to still purchase the cone of shame for extra assurance. Or if you happen to have a rambunctious jack or chi or the sort 😂. Because well you know the purpose is to PREVENT affected area to be licked . It's NOT true that dogs mouths are cleaner and no germs. That's bee-esss. So please think about that. As for using these on a daily. Yo absolutely can use these for MANY reasons. Applying shampoo, flea meds , preventing them from licking or chewing their skin for any reason. I do highly recommend these. 👍✌️

Took my dog awhile to figure out. But he did eventually figure out to get to his front paw. We still like it for him to have a more comfortable sleep at night. We bought a regular cone and use both so he can't get to his front paw. We put this one on first and the regular cone in front of it during the day. He can't get to he's paws at all.

I have a male dog and he was still able to get to his surgery area. He looked cute but I would not recommend these for male dogs and depending in the area is surgery may not be too good for female dogs either. I tried a number of these and none of them were very good so not just this brand. It was actually better than several others we tried

This e-collar is fantastic! The clear window prevents my dog from scratching a hot spot on his face. Also, he doesn't mind wearing it at all! Everyone keeps asking me about this e-collar, and I tell them how much I love it!

I ordered the small for my dog but this is more of an extra small. As you can see from my picture it wouldn't even close completely around my wrist so I'm not sure how it would fit around a dog's neck. As I was trying to deflate it to return to Amazon I noticed that the little paper insert said to only inflate to 80%. Well, it doesn't close completely around my dog's neck but I think that's because he's the 8-in neck and not the 6-in neck. The velcro strap definitely has held it on nicely and he hasn't been able to lick his hot spot on his stomach this morning but not for lack of trying. He keeps turning around and then looking discouraged when he can't reach the itch. I did take the plastic shield off because it was folding into his face. That might be just that it needs to loosen up after being packed tightly for shipping though but he's fine with just the donut so I'm not even going to put it back on. Fortunately I did return it. Because it deflated more overnight. I originally requested a replacement but by the time it arrived my dog no longer needed the Elizabethan collar.

Our little dog had the saddest time with a cone of shame so I ordered this. MUCH better! It is comfy and he could lay his little head down as if on a pillow, even though it was a "cone of shame". He could drink from his water bowl without trouble, and most importantly, he could climb our stairs without thump-stuck-thump-stuck-thump-stuck. He also did not thump-stuck going in and out doorways. Though he still felt the indignities of wearing a device to prevent him from reaching a rash (treated with ointment) and keeping him safe while he healed, the super hero motif helped emphasize his super power: being cute!

It lasted less than 24 hrs, put it on my Australian hearder and woke up this morning to it completely chewed up. Inflatable punctured and cone plastic in shreds. Was not worth it if u have a chewer.
