I bought this to replace a burned up motor in a Ventline fan. Two things. The original nuts that hold the motor to the fan mount are larger, so I had to make a trip to HD to get the right ones. Second, this comes with a standard 2 prong plug on it, and the original uses a snap together plug. Figure out the polarity, cut the 2 prong off and wire nut in place. Works like a champ.

Replaced fan motor in Broan exhaust fan. Perfect fit. Seems to be a lot quieter than the original 18 year old fan motor.

Replaced old rusty 20 yr old motor that still worked but was noisy. This was a perfect fit and quiet.

This was an Amazon pick. Worked out perfectly as I replaced the failing, 50 year old Miami Caron unit that was original to our 1970 built house. Extremely simple install. Take off the two nuts securing the old motor to the carriage and put the new motor on its place. Secure the two nuts to the carriage, place fan blade on keyed shaft (blades facing motor) secure to the metal fan box, plug in, test with wall switch, then secure decorative cover. 5 minutes, start to finish. Great Amazon pick and motor fan work excellent, as new.

There are no instructions but so many videos on YouTube that shows you what to do. Extremely simple to swap out the old for the new motor. Was quieter than my old fan motor so an extra bonus.

Noise level is decent…as have to remember it’s not new technology. Retro fitted perfectly into existing guts of our 22 year old bathroom fan. Was easy to install and saved us money on replacing the whole fan…which would have also meant crawling into the ceiling space and across the joists (yuck!).Measurements on fan were accurate.Took my husband 5 minutes to install!Very happy with purchase!PS Home Depot did not have the size we needed!

This worked great in my old Broan F650. It's not quite exactly the same as the old fan (it spins faster so I've probably increased my CFM).To mount it you either need new bolts (the old ones are too small) or you need to remove the cylinder screws and screw them directly through the mounting holes in the assembly. I chose that second option.Also, for best airflow (about 3x stronger) due to the shape of the housing, I reversed the direction of the spin, you can find instructions online by searching for "Reverse Spin Direction of Bath Fan Motor" it was quite easy to do.

I ordered this because the product description on the Amazon site provided detailed dimensions that matched those of an old fan I had in the basement that had stopped working years ago. The motor and fan were a perfect fit. The job was done with one screw to remove the mounting plate for the motor/fan unit and two small nuts to hold the motor in place, a short AC power cord to plug the motor into the existing fan housing. It's quiet and blows air. I am very happy with the product. Kudos to the seller for providing detailed dimensions for the product in the product description.
