I’m 5’7 and want to use this as a birthing ball i’m not sure if i should get an xl or a l! what’s the difference in birthing and exercising sizes?

Hi! I'm a Doula. It depends on which stage of that labor you are using the ball. For early labor For a 5 7 lady, I would use 65 ball. The key is, when you sit on the ball, you want your hips and your knee to be straight across, forming a 90 degree angle at the knee bend. You want to keep the top of your pelvis open to receive baby's head. Once baby's head has enteted the pelvis later in labor, you will want a smaller ball that nrings you closer to a squating position. This opens the lower part of the pelvis to allow baby to decend the canal.

why is the measurement tape so huge? I bought the second largest size and it's impossible to blow it up per the silly measurement tape. inflated std

The tape with a 65cm mark is ~200cm long. This is a circumference, 200cm = ~64cm diameter. My ball inflated to a reasonable pressure is ~180cm in circumference, which is around 57cm or 22" in diameter. So the tape is correct but I was sent a smaller size M (22") instead of L (26"). I see I'm not the only one received a smaller size.
