This has been my choice for every single tank I have ever kept. This substrate has a few great points -1 - Almost No clouding. On it's own it can have mild clouding, however if you top it up with some sort of top substrate (I mostly use crushed lava rocks) this never clouds the water.2 - great plant success rate3 - No effect on water parameters.4 - Extremely safe for Shrimp, bottom feeders & every fish I have ever kept.

Good substrate material. Gives a completely different feel for the scape. For most cases 2kg bag will not be enough (I have a nano) and better to order 2 packs.Agree with the other reviewers, it may be good for shrimp but not suitable as the only substrate for plants. No issues with nutrients, but keeping the plants rooted is extremely tough.Better to have a more sandy substrate and then have this one on top through out the tank or in a portion.

The product packing says it's made in 2017 and the max price is 800 which is very much less discount as per the price for substrate. Else inside the product was good proper granules and the packing was fantastic do I kept and used the product.

Plants are doing great with no problem what so ever, but I found it’s little bit light in water with makes little difficult to hold plants down.

I used this substrate for my planted aquarium. It was my first attempt to make aquarium and grow plants from seeds. This substrate is working good and my plants are growing well and healthy. Reasonable in price, did not add cloudiness to the water when I filled the tank first time.

I bought 2 quantity of fluval 2kg substrate . This soil must be kept for sedimentation for 5-7 days for clean water. My fishes had breed for this nutrient soil . Thanks Thick Whiskers !

I like that there is no ammonia but still good nutrients for plants. Im a beginner and all my plants have been doing good so far and rooted well. I have used this in all 3 of my tanks so far, some with sand in places to cap the substrate. It does not look bad on its own. Holds the pebble shape pretty good should give lots of surface area for beneficial bacteria
