Yukon Glory™ Griddle Warming Rack - Designed for Blackstone Griddles 28" 1517 - New & Improved Design, One-Step Clip on Attachment (Not for Pro-Series

I was gifted a 17'" Blackstone griddle this past weekend. I used a baking pan across the corners to keep food warm. I was hopeful this would solve this problem. It does! The racks overlap and are supported by the center support. Two of the four clips allow me to clip the racks together so they don't slide off the center support. I am not sure if the clips are moveable but, I did not try to force them. If they do, I can rotate two clips upward and clip to the upper rack. The only "issue", if you will, is that a few clips would not tightly clip to the rack. I just pinched them with pliers so, it is not a real issue. I am looking forward to using this for many meals to come!

I really like the idea behind this rack, because you can always use extra prep space for the 28 inch griddle. However, there are a couple of significant issues with this design. One, it can inhibit the use of the of the complete griddle surface as the rack simply isn't tall enough to allow comfortable clearance to the back portion of the griddle. At least 20-30 % of the cooking surface feels much less accessible due to the position of the rack. (see pic) This accessibility problem also effects clean-up. Secondly, woe unto you, if your hand comes in contact with this rack during a cook--which is very likely due to the previously mentioned clearance issue. It gets super hot and you will get burned. As I would like the additional "storage/prep" area I'm going to attempt mount the rack back off the griddle on the stucco wall behind my griddle. Wanted to love this as is--but just couldn't. Note: Didn't work as a shelf, ended up returning this. UPDATE 2.0: I decided to give the updated design a try and as others have stated it is indeed a much sturdier & less obtrusive design. I still feel the shelf makes the back of the griddle more challenging to use, but overall I find it to be a helpful addition to the griddle. Upgrading to 4 stars.

Very pleased with this rack for my blackstone. Heavy duty and fits perfect. Folds up for easy storage. Would recommend to friends.

I bought it for my griddle that has a lid that is hinged in an upward position behind the griddle. I can use one or the other. I hoped I could bake on it but it’s too far off the actual griddle. But will be a good warmer griddle the buns stick them up there. On my 28” griddle I may have some flipping issues. We’ll see as the warm weather comes in and I can get out there. ( northern IL)

for the 20 dollars or so it costs for my 28 I was willing to take the risk thinking it would be flimsy. Boy was I surprised. Not only is it sturdy, but it looks good and still gives you enough room to manipulate food under neath it while keeping any food on the rack warm. You rarely find something so simple and so cost effective that is so useful, but this nailed it.

It clips on to the griddle nice and tight. Folds out of the way for storage.
