"Get It While It's Hot! An outdoor adventure without a hot meal can feel like a half-baked idea. That's why we want to power your next camping trip with the over fire camping grill gate. It has a powder coated steel frame that's welded to the steel mesh grill top for some seriously sturdy cooking. You can top it with skillets, pots, and pans for the ultimate dinner under the stars. If you're into camping solo, we recommend the 20"" x 10"" size. It's perfect for one or two people to enjoy an intimate meal. When it's cooled, you can even squeeze it into a backpack. If you're camping with a group, our 34"" x 16"" size will help you prepare a big meal for the whole group. Why You'll Love It: Whether you're heading to the backyard for some roasted smores, or spending a week off the grid, this campfire grill can be a game changer for all your outdoor eating. The adjustable legs make the set up simple. You can prop the grill over any fire, and when it's time to head back to the real world, simply fold them back in for compact storage. Load up the grill with all your favorite foods and you'll feel like you have everything, but the kitchen sink. "

Poorly Made.
Very poorly made. On the one I got, the grate is not welded to the frame so it sags down on one side. The rivets are ready to break at any moment. The powder coating is so thin that the frame completely rusted overnight from just humidity. It's pretty wobbly. Despite all the flaws it's still better than having nothing. I don't expect it to last very long but i figure i'll get a couple more camping trips out of it. Even though I knew the dimensions, it was somehow much larger than i pictured it, which worked out well for me. It fit nicely over the 3-foot fire ring at the campsite. I don't recommend putting food directly on the grate- bring some pots and pans.

Functional, Sturdy'ish
Functional aspect is great. The cook top grate holds up to 2-3 cast iron skillets no problem. The metal grate starts to flex and warp after being over the fire for an extended period, but it typically bounces back after cooling down. I have taken this out over a dozen times since purchasing, and I have not experienced any rusting. My only pain point with this product is the rivets holding the swinging stand arms. Not all fire pits are level and perfectly round, adjustments are sometimes needed. On our second or third trip, two of the rivets snapped and we were left trying to trail rig the grate to continue cooking. All in all, its a VERY simple fix: two 1/2 inch bolts, washers and wing nuts will do the job. I decided to snap the remaining two rivets to ensure stability in the future, and they snapped after applying very little pressure in the opposite direction.

Absolute Garbage!
I bought this for a recent camping trip. We used it maybe twice. It warped horribly and you absolutely HAVE to use foil over it or else the coating gets all over your food. My husband threw it out (I should have returned this piece of junk!) Don't waste your money on this camping grill.

Low quality + Manufacturing Defects
1) This grill is very low quality. The grate is loose, it moves up and down like a mosquito net, or a loose chicken wire. Hot dogs will roll off to the side. It is very thin, i don't even know if it will hold up to the heat of a fire. The legs dont have a stop, so they open to about 90 degrees and more if you force it, the whole structure is very unstable.2) Mine had various manufacturing defects too. Multiple squares of the grate were broken, many along the same line. They were not broken in transportation, it is clearly a manufacturing defect. Also when you fold the legs in, they dont really fit, and in one of the pair of legs the metal piece that connects the two legs is too long and is bowed out when you close the legs (i didn't force it, that's how it was shipped to me)Overall very disappointing and a waste of time. Went to a local store and purchased a webber grate that was much higher quality and cost me only $20.Don't waste your time with this item. And I would advise Amazon to remove these low quality sellers because they ruin the online shopping experience.

Decent for the price.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Used this over open fire last night and noticed it warping before I even put anything on it - I did cook with 4 small cast iron pans and it stood up even with the warping. I wouldn’t recommend cooking directly on the surface- I will always cook in a pan/pot on this grill. Reasonable for the price. Didn’t want to spend $100-150 for a high end grate since we only use it 3-4 times per summer.

Nicely built but...
I was just a little surprised at the fact it has no bracing in or near the center. With a cast iron pan it tends to bow down and eggs end up along the side of the pan. Really nicely built but needs more support in the center. I did purchase the family size.

This grill is as flimsy as paper... ...
This grill is as flimsy as paper.....it wobbles, you can practically bend it in half. This product is cheap and not worth the money.

Not Heavy Duty!!!!!
I ordered this for a 3 day camping trip. When I received it, it was slightly bent and had a couple of rust bubbles. I used it anyway since I didn't have time to return it or order a different one. It did serve its purpose but it will not hold up more than one cast iron skillet at a time. The paint burned off after one use. So all in all, I will not order another one. I don't think I will get more than 3-4 camping trips out of it.

Waste of money
Was light weight. Unfoutunatly it warped the second i used it. The heat of the campfire made it twist by about 15 20 degrees so it was difficult to lay any pot or pan on it. What a waste of money. It did not rebound back to original form once it cooled off

A lot of space for a fair price.
It is a big grill and you should check beforehand if it will enter flat into your car trunk. It did it's job well and the paint held up it's first two fires, i don't know long term. They should probably remove "heavy-duty" from the name. It is not flimsy per say, just not as robust as the heavy-duty mention would suggest.

The bad reviews on here are outdated and or just wrong
Amazing grill gate, used it for more than 4 hours slow-cooking some campfire beans on and beside the fire. Didn't have any coating come off or turn white, the grate didn't warp at all. No rust yet and would be willing to try cooking some steaks on it if I gave it a good sanitization first. Ignore the bad reviews, either they are outdated or they got a bad product.
