Kalttoy 4 Pcs/Set Bicycle Pedal Reflector Safety Night Cycling Reflective Bike Accessory

Bought this as 3 of 4 pedal reflectors had fallen off my bike over time- thought it was an easy way to increase visibility. Turned up today, didn’t look too reflective. Stuck them on bike and used torch to check them. The original reflector was absolutely fine. The three new ones that I’d bought (this item) didn’t reflect at all (see pictures taken with flash on phone) absolutely rubbish- also the only legal requirement for cycling at night, not that you’d be pulled for it. Disappointed it’s ‘Amazon’s choice’

The photos show this product (right) next to the old, dirty, BS6102-compliant reflector from my bike (left). I took it in a darkened room from about two metres away, with flash. As you can see, this product is not at all reflective. It has no markings for any safety ratings (BSI or CE, which is legally required to be sold or used as a pedal reflector in the UK). I examined the geometry, and they've designed the "corner cube" shape inside out so it doesn't reflect at all. They clearly just don't understand how reflectors work. It's just my good fortune that as an optics expert I was curious to measure these before putting them on my bike: if I'd gone out with them they'd have put me in danger of an accident.

Took too long to arrive and when they did they didn’t fit as the fix points are poor.But I had already found a solution by the time they arrived.
