As long as your motherboard has the same socket, they should work. I put 2 of these in my 2009 Mac Pro in November of 2021 and they’re still going strong! Great CPUs!

Can these be installed in a late 2008 3,1 if the firmware is flashed?

Yes I installed it in my asus sabertooth x58 released in 2008 and it is still running But make sure your pair it up with the proper video card or else you will have a lot of bottleneck

will this work on a late 2011 Logic board instead of 2.7GHz i5?
