Great for dividing "Sections" (Categories) of hanging files
Exactly what we needed and one-of-a-kind. We specifically wanted a way to create "sections" in the files and cardboard file guides were not substantial enough to set the sections apart. These make it easy to separate and visualize the major categories among hundreds of hanging files. I only wish they came with Labels or had label pockets to affix to the top.

Sturdy, excellent!
I couldn't use them because my drawer was built oddly, but they should work for you perfectly well.

Work but not quite what I needed
These work to divide my two businesses and personal files but I wish they were a bit heavier or there was a way to lock them in place.

Perfect for Plastic File Boxes with Lids - Can't Live Without Them!
I'm online right now ordering more of these and realizing it's time I finally wrote a review. This is probably my 4th time reordering these, as they are perfect for separating files into sections in my plastic file boxes. What's especially super about these is the dividers clearly show above my individual files (which are in hanging folders), but are still low enough for me to securely close the lid on my plastic file boxes. The dividers are strong and sturdy, easily moveable over and over without fear of breakage, and seem to last forever. Another bonus is the dividers spare me from having to create labels using those horrible plastic-tab type dividers (which are also so flimsy). As I store inactive files/boxes, I keep buying more of these. No regrets - I love them!Example of how I use these: For any particular year, I have a file box specifically for that year's taxes. I'll have individual files for different vendors, and then use these dividers to separate out which deduction category they belong for tax reporting purposes. I don't bother to label the dividers, as I can tell what categories they are based on the individual files within that section.

Great way to quickly define change of subject...
I love these, they're great for making it clear where your filing changes topics etc, (seperate utilities from insurance, or craft projects, remodeling info etc: I have found many uses for them- it makes finding my files much easier. The plastic tab clearly shows the beginning & end of a group of files & can hold a label.FYI: In the many brands of file cabinets I've used these in, they always allowed the drawer to open and close without a problem EXCEPT: in the (not so commonly used) locking metal rolling cart/tub file: The lock & support bar on just part of the lid take up inner lid space, hitting the plastic tabs, preventing the lid from shutting properly: putting a lot of stress on the lid's hinge: which will surely pop/rip off at some point when the lid is forced shut- especialky if another box/weight is added to the top. (The plastic tabs can't be folded out of the way/tipped when it's full of other files.)So this is the only place I found where it can't be used freely: ALTHOUGH there are a couple of places where the lid of the metal filing tub doesn't have the frame or lock, & the file tabs CAN be used. Again: I love this product.

Yes! I would buy these again!
First - these are so much more cheaper than the exact same thing on Walmart.com so kudos there. They also resolved my height issue with my folders - I use pressboard folders for client information but they stand too tall in hanging file folders - these are perfect to use to divide in sections and allow me to close and lock my drawer. Now that I know these are here if I need them again I'll be getting them!

Flimsy but workable with some DIY
These dividers are flimsy and don’t stay up well on their own. I’m using them inside crates, so I had to zip-tie them in place to make them work. Without extra support, they fall over and don’t really function well as separation pieces. They’re not ideal, but with a little effort, they can be usable.
