FV-0810VSS1 - Not for Old Work, Requires Drywall Work and Wiring Two-Switch Receptacle
The reviews, even recent ones, are for other models. This review is for FV-0810VSS1. Panasonic is a great brand. This exhaust vent even raises its rpm to adjust to deliver the set cfm output. What they don't tell you is that this is meant to go UNDER drywall. There isn't much clearance for the attached junction box and exhaust port in the ceiling. So if you're using it for old work, you'll have to do some tricky drywall repair.This also requires special wiring. It's designed to have a low cpm when it's powered on, and then you can connect its red wires to a second switch (or short them out by capping together or using WAGO connectors) to go to 80 or 100 cfm (whichever you've got the switch set to). I had to run additional wires and install a new Broan Nutone two-switch receptacle (model no. P2RW) to power this. I have it set for the bottom switch to turn the fan on at 30 cfm (the dial on the exhaust vent lets you pick a low-speed flow from 30 cfm to 70 cfm) and the top switch turn it on high (100 cfm). You can also connect the exhaust fan's red wires together to have it be on high speed only when it's turned on. Just be sure not to connect the red wires to power--they're for a switch only.

Quiet and Easy to Install
This was a purchase for my husband's handyman business. A customer wanted a new vent fan that was quieter than their current one. He installed it smoothly and the customer is very happy with the quietness and quality.

Surprisingly noisy fan
I have another Panasonic fan that I am very happy with, it is super quiet. That is not the case with this fan, it is so noisy that I had to send it back.
