The Gold Standard for Long-Distance Networking
If you’re running 125 feet of cable, you aren’t just looking for "good enough"—you’re looking for signal integrity and durability. The Cable Matters Snagless Shielded Cat 6A is an absolute powerhouse that delivers on every promise. Here is why this cable stands out: Zero Speed Loss: Despite the 125ft length, I am getting a rock-solid 10Gbps throughput. I used this to connect a workstation to a server across two floors, and the latency is virtually non-existent. Superior Shielding (S/FTP): Since I had to run this alongside power lines in the ceiling, I was worried about electromagnetic interference (EMI). The shielding on this Cat 6A cable is top-tier; I haven’t experienced a single dropped packet or "hiccup" in data transmission. Build Quality: The "snagless" protector is firm but flexible—it actually protects the clip without making it impossible to depress. The cable itself feels heavy-duty and premium, not like the thin, flimsy stuff you find in big-box stores. Future-Proof: Moving to Cat 6A now means I won't have to crawl back into the crawlspace for a decade. It handles the bandwidth of today and the upgrades of tomorrow. Bottom Line: If you need a long-run cable that you can "set and forget," this is it. It’s a small price to pay for the peace of mind that your backbone connection is indestructible.

10GB Bandwidth 🤯 Can You Stand It?!?
The cable is the perfect size, constructed well and is extremely durable. The connector is high quality and worked flawlessly right out of the box.

Great and reliable Cat 6a Ethernet
They work great and deliver high speeds with no data lose or connectivity issues. The quality is great and features the for Ethernet standards (Cat 6a) that can deliver up up to 40gb of data. Although the data delivery capacity is likely overkill for many households i still recommend in the case that you decide to upgrade your data speeds in the future you will be prepared with a high quality and capable Ethernet cable. I use this for my internet. The value for the price is great and i appreciate the multiple length that are offered ensuring it captures the needs of many. I ended up buying multiple ones in different lengths. Overall great product from a reliable company

Excellent cable. Good price. A good choice if you need shielded ethernet cable.
Update (July 2026): All runs are still rock solid! Update (May 2025): My original runs are still going strong, and I've now implemented additional runs using this vendor's shielded cable (I've also used unshielded cable from this vendor, for those who might ultimately use unshielded cable). Performance continues to be great. As long as this vendor doesn't get greedy (as happened with some other cable vendors who started to build a reputation), they'll officially be my "go-to" vendor from here on out, and I suspect they'll continue to amass a similar following. Keep up the nice work, Cable Matters, and please don't get greedy! Original review: This product is a good balance between quality and price. There are cheaper cables out there but I consider Cable Matters to be a reliable vendor. Be prepared for your cable run to be slightly more involved if you're using shielded cable, as it's somewhat thicker and less flexible than unshielded. And read up on shielded vs unshielded to see which is best for your use case. Shielded may be very important or needless overkill that just costs you more. But if you do need shielded cable, it's still easy to use and install, so no need to worry too much. This cable has worked well for me, and it was just the right length for my use case. They offer plenty of colors, which is nice if you need that for color-coding or matching an aesthetic if part of the run will be exposed. And the connectivity / signal quality is great, of course.

Very reliable cable.
Working perfectly. I previously bought a 50 ft Cat7 flat cable for my 2.5 Gbps link. That flat cable worked intermittently. Often dropped down to 1 Gbps or even 100 Mbps. Very frustrating on the gaming computer! Replaced it with this 50 ft Cable Matters Cat6a and the link has stayed perfectly steady at 2.5 Gbps. Very happy and highly recommend.

Exactly what it says on the tin, decent-to-better grade materials than expected
I'd give it 5 stars, but idk how rugged it might prove over time. Just out of the package, it appears to be superior to the same style Cat 6A white ethernet cable it is replacing, and I feel slightly better about the clips, at the start, than I did for the one it replaces. The replacement, I forced into service 2 or 3 years after its clip broke off, and through the cable cover falling apart in places--it was still working just fine when replaced, but the connection point at the computer had to be rigged, and all the wires exposed from exposed sections of the cable were out of traffic, but ... it needed replaced. This new cable arrived exactly as pictured, exactly as described, and it does seem to be made of better quality materials than the previous. If this allows updates/edits, and 5 years from now it's still tiptop, then it gets 5 stars :) I have confidence it will, but

Solid long Ethernet cable for 10Gb-capable runs
This Cable Matters Cat6A cable feels like a good quality option for a longer wired network run. I wanted something more robust than a basic thin patch cable, and the shielding and Cat6A rating make it a good choice for higher-speed networking setups. The connectors felt secure, and the cable worked well for my use. At 125 feet, it is naturally thicker and less flexible than a short patch cable, so plan the route before installing it. But that is expected for this kind of cable. For long runs to a switch, router, desktop, access point, or network appliance, I was satisfied with it and would choose it over a generic no-name cable.

Great cable
I wanted to replace my now overkill 50ft cable with something shorter and shielded to reduce insignificant amounts of emf radiation that "might" be emitting from ethernet cables. The cable ends snap on great, cable feels as sturdy as I could ever want or need and my speeds are stable. I use an Asus RT-N16. This was basically the best priced metal end cat6 cable I could find.
