nice little omelete maker
This thing has many uses , but when im on keto I like to make a lot of omeletes . Its the perfect size . The devil in me wants to make a huge chocolate chip cookie though ,,,lol . It's great for a burger also . Its cooks a little fast so i use a little olive oil , you have to be careful not to overcook the bottom is my only problem and or complaint , but im getting better at using it . Cool little design and tucks away nicely when not in use , very easy to clean also . I love it

It does work as advertised
This product does, in fact, work as advertised but be sure you are buying for the right reason. It will cook your food, as promised, but it won't necessarily do it an better than a small frying pan with a lid set on low heat on the stove. I cooked a small piece of raw meat and some left over spaghetti on the side next to the meat. The meat was thin and was frozen when I put it in. I topped the whole thing - meat and side of spaghetti - with chopped onions and some soy sauce after first adding a liberal amount of veg oil to the pan before adding the food. I closed the lid. About 7-8 minutes, I opened the lid and everything was cooked very nicely. It was browned on the bottom, not the top. The meal was delicious and the food was nicely seasoned. Everything was fine...............BUT I could have done the very same thing with a small frying pan and lid on the stove set to low heat. I could have also done the same thing on an electric frying pan set to low heat making sure to put a cover on the pan, in either case.Where it would be more useful than frying pan is in places where there is no stove but there is electricity such as a dorm room, a camper or RV, a hotel room, etc. This device would be more convenient than an electric hot plate in combo with a small frying pan and a lid. It would be more compact esp for traveling, less so for a dorm room with a permanent place for the hotplate. One other consideration is that it takes about 7-8 minutes to cook the meat and a side dish in portions which would be enough for one person - and not one person with a big appetite, either. For example it would not hold enough food for a teenager or a young adult male. Another consideration is that if a couple of any age wanted to take this devise along when camping or staying in a hotel room, they would probably need two of them. It takes 7-8 minutes to prepare meat and a side dish for one person. This food would get cold while waiting for the second round to cook food for the other person. If two people want to sit down to eat a meal at the same time, then they would need two of these items to take along.Bottom line is that it is way too small to use if one is going to cook food for two people. It is ideal for one person and the food is very delicious when it is done cooking. It is also not going to be able to cook enough food for one person if that person is either a teenager or else a young adult male. It can't handle anything but small portions, at once time ,so please consider who is going to be eating the food. If you are going to be using it for two people or even one person with a hardy appetite, an electric frying pan with a glass cover would be a better option.

Very nice griddle… I hope they continue to make these
These griddles are an absolute necessity. There is no way that a microwave can do all of the quick cooking need in the kitchen. Sometimes you just absolutely have to have a griddle get a lovely pancake or fried eggs. And the riddle also cleans up very easily. You can create all kinds of recipes on it as well.

Good option over a stovetop and frying pan
I find this simple and effective for omelettes. However, the instructions say to use food spray top and bottom, and I don't know if that's always necessary. I get a lot of food spray drippings and leftover after I've - very quickly - executed an omelette.A bit smoky in execution of an omelette but not enough to set off any fire alarms. It's a griddle and behaving like one. Very easy to wipe clean. The size is perfect for a single serving omelette. Cute color, too. And lightweight. For people who don't count themselves gourmet and have limited space, it's a great idea.

Makes Great Grilled Cheese, & Quesadillas
I am glad that I chose the Red 8" Dash Griddle, even tho it's still small, it's doable. I love the cheery Red color, which goes with my Red Keurig, & my Red Electric Kettle. All you have to do is plug it in, there is no on/off switch. When the blue light goes out, it's ready to use. This 8" Griddle gets very hot, so exercise care, when using it.The 8" Griddle comes with an instruction booklet, with recipes. They say that you should spray the non-stick surface, with non-stick spray, but I haven't done that, because I have read that you shouldn't spray non-stick cookware with non-stick spray, that it ruins the surface. So far, I've only used this 8" Griddle to make grilled cheese, & quesadillas. I've had no problem with anything sticking. You do need to flip whatever you are making, to cook both sides. It does cook quickly.Make sure that you unplug the Griddle, when you are done using it. Let it cool down, before cleaning it.I just take a wet paper towel, and wipe it down, which it's very easy to clean. Then I take a dry paper towel, to make sure that it's dry, so it won't rust. You cannot wash this Griddle in the sink, because it's electric. The cord is not detachable. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space, & you can stand it up.

Works great
Use it almost daily for eggs. Non stick actually works. No complaints.

Cooks everything and fast
I love to use products for a while and then rate them so I bought it like 5 months ago and is the best thing I have used to cook. I’m in wheelchair and I set it on the table so I cook not only pancakes but eggs, bacon, pizza, tortillas, hamburger meat, grilled sandwich and many more. It cooks very fast and is a plus to have it double because you close it and not only cooks top and bottom but also grease doesn’t jump everywhere. Looking to buy a 12’ in now since this is 8’ and I love it.
