These are strong, wide, reasonably elasticated and robust. So much so, that I've invested in four packs of them to date.If you’re going to use them for household purposes, then they may not be appropriate for your needs/requirements, being that they’re somewhat thick (1mm) and wide (10mm) and 200mm in length without stretching. They will stretch to about 500mm, but beyond that, they become very tight. I use them to keep wood and metal held together when storing. They will keep a box closed but will tend to bend the edges of the box if the box isn't sturdy. They are what I term 'heavy duty' rubber bands. They’re also convenient for holding tools together. It allows me to keep screwdrivers, clamps, and other tools bound together, rather than just having them scattered inside a bag.
