Being short means either using a step stool or climbing up onto counters to reach items high up on shelves. The Grabber Reacher Tool is great for grabbing those hard to reach items while keeping your feet on the floor. I like that it is lightweight making it easy to hold and the handle doesn't take much pressure to squeeze. The grabbing claw rotates and locks into place so you can choose the direction you want grab an item. Rotating it the same direction as the handle makes for easier storage. It is sturdy enough to hold most household items (probably not going to hold something overly heavy though). I have found it useful to help get things high up on shelves and also things dropped behind furniture.

I like this thing, I don't use it a ton but I like to take it hiking and camping with me. It folds easy and fits in or on most bags for a day hike or camp. I bought this in september 2019 and it's now October 2022 and haven't had a single issue. The string hasn't worn out at all, the plastic is fine, trigger still works. It's really nice and useful, keeps me from picking up a soda can only to be covered in angry ants again, or scratching my eyeball again on a dead bush, while reaching in to grab a water bottle to throw away (the incidents which finally prompted me to make this purchase). Even came in handy when a cricket jumped inside my washing machine and I couldn't reach it to kill it and get it out. I grabbed this claw and aimed it and snatched the cricket very effectively in 1 or 2 tries with the flat claw grips and tossed him away with no struggle of bending over this huge machine to try and remove a cricket with my own hand.

This foldable grabber reacher tool has been one of those simple household items that quietly proves its value over the years. It’s come in handy for everything from picking up dropped items off the floor to grabbing things from high shelves or tight spaces without needing to bend or strain. The foldable design made it easy to store, and the claw grip stayed functional enough for everyday lightweight to moderate use without giving out. Over time, like most tools in this category, it does show normal wear and I eventually replaced it, but not because it failed quickly—just because it was used consistently. Overall, it’s a practical, durable helper that made daily tasks easier and stayed reliable far longer than expected.

This is the third one I bought. One for kitchen / food pantry, one for the bedroom to reach behind and under furnishings and the third I wound up using to pick up weeds I pulled out and branches that fell during a storm. So I find useful because I have a bad back and also I can utilize shelves I normally wouldn't be able to reach and retrieve things from without a step stool. Also when stuff falls behind things I can grab this and a flash light and retrieve them so very much more easily. Worth every penny and then some.

Worked for about a year. One of the grabbers snapped off. I wish they would just offer replacement parts.

After reading countless reviews on similar items I chose this one, I did not have high expectations buy have great need for getting things without losing my balance and falling. This has both pros and cons. Pros: light weight, easy to use, can pick up lightweight and small items even a needle or coin lying flat in the floor, and empty cans, paper, and other small debris items. Also builds a stronger grip in your hand. Cons: max comfortable lifting is about that of a 12oz soda, found that after about 8days of one hrs use each day that it required more strength to pick things up bc the grip wasn't as strong. So.. the biggest con is that I see no way of adjusting for the stretch that naturally occurs from use such that a can of soda can no longer be moved without it slipping from grasp. A great tool for reaching and picking up lightweight small items and debris. Is better than any other I've used. But could be a little better for items commonly dealt with in daily life such as canned goods and a way to adjust the grip.
