REPTI ZOO Dual Reptile Light Fixture for Reptile Dome UVB Light Fixture

This light fixture is perfect. First, it is constructed well for safety and function. Both light sockets accept a decent wattage lamp and after months of use, I've had no issues with electrical or other issues. The heat level is high but directed to the terrarium below. Any metal lid or cover to your pet's habitat should be sufficient. I don't recommend using a thin or non-metallic screen to place this fixture directly on. For the money, you can't really beat this for dual lighting and heating purposes. Highly recommended!

UPDATE: I WAS HAPPY AFTER GETTING IT REPLACED AFTER IT CAME BADLY DENTED, THE FEELING DID NOT LAST LONG! The replacement came mid July but we were moving so we just stored it till we needed it in the crabitat early November. It is now January 7, 2022 and the buzzing noise it was making during the night woke me up. I turned off the one side and it quit buzzing. After I got back up this morning I just replaced it with a fluorescent daylight and testing to see if the heat did something to it. I don’t know if it did but the no heat daylight didn’t help the situation. When I put the daylight bulb in that side, the socket was very loose and the buzzing started again. I’m not even sure if anyone should be touching it because it sounds like the electrical. FOR 40 BUCKS THAT SHOULD NOT BE LOOSE AFTER MAYBE TWO MONTHS OF USE. IT’S NOT WORTH A PENNY!! I had to replace my other one after 10-11 years of use. I wish I could find another one of those, it’s nice having a product last….. My opinion on this started out not great because it was delivered in a bag instead of a shipping box. It was in the packaging box but because it was in a bag it got beat up. The box and the light was badly bent. However, they did send me another one in a shipping box and it was perfectly fine. It works great and I like that it can be hung or just sit on the screen. The smaller size is nice, the one I replaced was longer and held bulbs that was less wattage, so I am happy that this is easier to handle and produces more heat day and night since it holds 2 bulbs.

This is the best for non-linear lamp domes! The UVBs fit! I have been purchasing several lamps (single dome, dual dome round, no dome, etc.) as I was trying to find the best set up for my baby iggy. If you need heat and UVB lamps (for reptiles, turtles, or any species that need both heat and UBV), this is perfect. It has tolerance to high combined wattage, It has separate switches for each lamp socket, so you can have one on and the other off, and it is the only one that has the dome deep enough that you can fit the compact fluorescent UVBs and the lamp will not touch the top of the cage (in most others you need to hang the fixture, or clip the UVB fixture at an incline, which can hurt your pet's eyes, and human eyes also). My set up is one night lamp in one socket, one UVB in the other, and a separate single dome for a day heat lamp. The cord wrapper is very convenient so you do not have too many cords hanging around. I just marked with a drop of paint one of the switches and placed the night light there before wrapping the cords together, so I know which is the UVB and which the night light for ease of turning on and off. And the shape is super stable for transportation and for resting it on the screen on top of the habitat (I have not tried hanging from a lamp holder). Also, it has a security sticker that turns red to warn you if you put more than the max wattage and it is overheating--which should not happen if you use lamps within the max indicated on the dome. I have been using this one as my favorite set up for several months now and super happy with it. In all: The best lamp fixture I have tried!

The switch on this product stopped working within 1 month. Very disappointed. Missed the window to complete the return so I'm stuck with a damaged product
