Sturdy, compact, functional
Arrived ultra fast, assembly easy, lovely heavy foot that saves space and is much steadier and less of a trip-ing risk than foldable legs. This also makes it sturdier. Dearer than alternatives but in return you get a much more stable and professional stand. I would suggest using loctite for the screw threads to avoid it coming loose. That appears to be a problem with virtually every music stand.

As above
Good stand well balanced with heavy base

Good but not great with heavier mikes.
OK for most purposes but the base is not heavy enough or wide enough for heavier studio mikes and it becomes unstable. For normal mikes (sm58 etc) it’s an excellent quality stand.

Does the job.
Lovely stand. Takes up little space. Feels pretty solid. And looks good. I like it.

Base comes loose
Good sturdy stand but the screw-on base comes loose no matter how hard you tighten it. I fixed it with thread locking solution.

Solid!
Goes up surprisingly high and out really far. Heavy base and counterbalance weight.

This stand is great! I do AV for my job so I have to deal with a LOT of mic stands, and this one is genuinely much nicer quality than the majority of the common ones. Especially for a boom stand, since those can be pretty fickle. It's very sturdy, the arm has plenty of room to extend, and the knuckle is strong enough to keep your mic from sagging. Granted, I haven't really pushed it too much, since the mic I'm using with it is only about 1.5 lbs. The base is also really nice - it's a heavy cast metal that sits low to the ground with a relatively small footprint, which is what I needed. In tight quarters, the tripod-style stands can be a bit of a tripping hazard, so this fixes that entirely. Plus, the base has a ring of padding running around the entire edge that'll help to keep it from scuffing wood floors. Usually these things only have a few rubber nubs stuck to the bottom, so that's a nice upgrade. Overall, this is a really nice stand! If you need a boom stand specifically with a flat weighted base (or if you just want a nice one) I highly recommend it.

I've been making music for 30 years and have owned many microphone stands. Some better than others, and some more expensive than others. The old adage "You get what you pay for" is generally true, but every once in a while a fantastic deal comes along that you absolutely cannot pass up. This is one of them! I just built a brand new recording studio and decided to get some new mic stands for my Sony C800G, Neumann U87, and Shure SM7B microphones. If you know anything about microphones, you know that they are expensive top of the line mics that need to be safely attached to quality mic stands. Nobody wants their $10k microphone doing a nosedive into the floor because they wanted to cut corners and save a few bucks by buying a budget mic stand! After looking around online for about an hour, reading reviews, comparing stands, as well as prices, I decided to take the plunge and try out the Hola! Music mic stands....... and I really couldn't be happier with my choice! The stands arrived quickly and packaged well. Putting them together was a breeze. They are solidly constructed and extremely sturdy. There was a minor issue with one of the stands, but I spoke with Adam (the owner of Hola! Music) and he quickly sent out a replacement stand with no questions asked. Now that is service! Cheaper doesn't necessarily mean cheap, and these mic stands are proof. I can't say enough good things about Hola! Music's professionalism and their products. And in the unlikely event that something does go wrong, because let's face it, things can and will sometimes go wrong, rest assured that Hola! Music will do whatever is necessary to make it right and make sure that you're a happy customer!

Decent light weight mic stand...works good for me. I was looking for a lighter weighted mic stand and works perfect for me.

STABILITY: Some customers have suggested that this mic stand is a bit on the wobbly side and, unfortunately, I have to agree. The 10 pound (4.54kg) weighted bottom is likely acceptable for a lightweight or cheap mic, but in no way would I trust the weight to hold my Earthworks Icon Pro, which weighs in at about 1.55 pounds (700g). The easy fix for this is to just add another 5-10 pounds (2.27kg - 4.54kg) with a weight plate atop the threaded baseplate. If you care about the aesthetics of your mic stand, the grip on the boom arm comes off and the arm could possibly be partially filled with lead shot in combination with a plug to prevent the entire arm from filling. BOOM ARM: I read that some customers had issues getting the included boom arm to lock properly and resulted in their mic slowly drooping over time, but I haven't had that occur yet. It holds my Earthworks Icon Pro without issue when extended ~20 inches (51cm) from the shaft of the stand. I'll admit that I did crank the tension like a 200 pound gorilla upon reading that the arm had a tendency to sag, so that may be one reason I have yet to have any issue after a couple weeks of use. On the topic of the boom arm, it comes with a 5/8"-27 adapter threaded onto a 3/8"-16 post to support a wide variety of attachments. OVERALL QUALITY: I admit that I don't buy or own many mic stands, but this one is satisfactory to my needs as an audiophile hobbyist. There are likely better stands out there but the version I purchased already came with a flat base instead of the triad leg design, which is exactly what I needed. The threading is a bit gritty but usable, and nothing really seemed unusually questionable about the product. RATING: I typically don't rate a product with 5 stars. A 5 star rating, to me, signifies that something was outstanding instead of simply expectational. This product got 5 stars from me because, unbeknownst to me, I wasn't purchasing one mic stand. I was purchasing four. That may be a downside to some but, the way I see it, I have three spare mic stands to repair or replace the one that might bite the dust.
