I love it. It's perfect for a college student. I put baby carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, snap peas, onions, spinach, and sliced mushrooms in it from my college's cafeteria salad bar. My favorite are the sliced mushrooms with spinach and onions, though the steamer now smells like onions. The mushrooms are juicy and full of flavor. I put my tray of my mixed vegetables in for two and a half minutes, which is perfect for the sliced mushrooms and snap peas, but you might want to go a little longer for the other vegitables I listed. If you're able, you might want to soak your vegitables for thirty minutes ahead of time so they don't dry out. If you have small baby carrots, they may dry out faster since there's less water in them. The solution is simple, just soak them in water 30 minutes ahead of time and cut them in half so they cook faster and don't have to be cooked as long. The tray is bigger than I expected, which is good since you can add more vegitables. Even though it's bigger than I expected, it still fits in the microwave and is able to turn in the turn table. It only takes 2 tablespoons of water in the bottom of the tray, which at first I thought wouldn't be enough, but it is and there's even water left over at the end in the bottom. The lid isn't designed to click shut, but that's because it just rests on the tray, and along with there being an adjustable vent on top of the lid, it helps some of the steam to be released. I would 100% recommend this product. I love how simple it is, how it retains the nutrients in the vegitables, and how it's BPA free. Great gift for college students or busy mom's.

I bought this, because I have been cooking corn in the microwave by getting it wet and wrapping it in waxed paper. I was very attracted to this so I could stop wasting so much waxed paper! Smaller ears of corn work, but anything of size is just too big for the top to fit down onto the bottom. I have also tried steaming asparagus, and that was really easy to. It comes with a little recipe card to help you time things more accurately the first time; I appreciate that. I'd recommend this - just be aware that if your main goal is to cook corn, this might fall short in depth (hence the reason for 4 stars).

I have a smaller steamer that's the same brand as this one with the same mix of colors, and I love it -- except for one thing. I wanted a steamer that would deliver the same results but give me more room for veggies. This is the perfect solution. It's every bit as good as the smaller steamer I've been using for years, but big enough to fit my appetite. My vegetarian dinner is done in six minutes.

This microwave steamer is great for cooking fish and vegetables. Both always turn out perfectly. I now eat much more of both. Salmon fillets turn out absolutely delicious. Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini are some of the vegetables that now make up many of my meals. I usually cook fish and vegetables together at the same time. Preparation is a breeze and so is clean up. I stick the 3 parts of the steamer in the top level of the dishwasher. The cooking takes only minutes. I am so glad that I discovered this little gem. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Great for steaming just about anything! I've used it to steam fish, dumplings and vegetables. All came out great. Made well and very easy to use.

Bought this for my husband who has high cholesterol and high blood pressure so sometimes can’t eat the main meal I cook. He has to eat more fish and chicken. I thought this would be a quick way to make him some healthy dishes without making too much dishes. I have a tfal steamer that I love but cleaning it takes more time than this.. so I thought. Quality looks decent, except after about 8-10 uses the lid no longer snaps on good I have to continuously shift the lid around to go on! Steaming wise depends what I make.... fish is a lot quicker. Chicken takes longer and sometimes doesn’t steam evenly, so I put it in more and it’ll dry in the center.... veggies steam quick and evenly! Cleaning the green tray can somewhat be a pain depending what you make. Scrubbing each individual holes making sure nothing gets left bevy is similar to my bigger T-fal steamer. So I might as well use my bigger steamer with levels Anyway in all this is ok, the lid tho is a big problem if I have to shift and push hard for it to snap close. I would say this is not a long term steamer.

Absolutely the best product for steaming vegetables and fish. Perfect every time and clean up is so quick and easy. I’ve never enjoyed my vegetables more. Highly recommend!
