I got this for my rescue backpack I keep in my car. I hope that I never ever need to use this. I'm retired Army (33 years) and don't mind spending extra bucks to get the good stuff for when I need it. Well I didn't have to go overboard here. I got orange since I'm now a civilian and if this is needed in an emergency maybe green is not the best color. It is strong -- at the first tug right off the bat I know I am dealing with good stuff. As this company is veteran owned I knew that they knew their expectations, and they knew other vets would purchase.Now in my reviews I always try to find something to complain about. Tough to find anything here. Maybe I wish the cord was shrink wrapped but I can let the air out of the bag myself. Yup, good stuff.

The product is excellent; the company is excellent plus.I have used more kinds of 'paracord' than I would even try to count, from the REAL deal back in the 60s and 70s, up to the present proliferation of the countless ninja.specops.survivalist/commando things sold online, in outdoor stores and even in Wal Mart. I won't take the time to write a long, boring review detailing the various thrilling adventures I have had with the good stuff and the faux-mil spec stuff. I will say that there have been at least three times in the last 40 plus years that my life has depended on paracord and a knife. THIS is the real deal. This company is the example to which other companies should aspire to emulate. They go above and beyond in their customer followup and care. Although I currently have a load of paracord, I can assure you, whenever I need more, THIS will be the sole source that I use. They are the best of the best.

There are many vendors of 550 cord, LOOK NO FURTHER. I have tried many different brands and Milspec is by far the best cord to work with. It is the true 5040 spec, yet is still soft and pliable to work with. In fact, it was so pliable I was doubtful that it really contained 8 strands of 3 threads each, and I had to open it up and count. And, yes, it's all there! My other brands of the true 5040 cord are very stiff. And if top-notch quality is not enuf for you, their customer service is also top-notch. I got an email from "Darron" at Milspec instructing me to tell him if there were any problems at all with my order and they would be happy to correct it. My order was perfect, but read the other reviews here. Anyone with an issue did get a resolution from this company. One thing I noticed is that if you order the color "shock n awe", your cart on Amazon will show a picture of the color "sunrise camo", and you'll think you ordered the wrong one. Ignore that. Its just a glitch. After my order, I received 2 free E-books, one of which, was how to tie knots, including the bowline. It is a great book! My advice to Milspec is to add a sideline business as a consultant, and teach other businesses how to produce an impeccable product and offer great customer service! MIlspec is awesome. I'm attaching a picture showing 7 strands (to the right) and the 8th strand (on the left) which I took apart to show the 3 threads. And that color is the "shock n awe" which I love!

I love this para cord. I use it for everything that I tie up. Having been in the Airborne, 82nd, I know the value of good tie down rope and this is it. Made in the USA was a huge plus for me. Cut it to any length and I highly recommend that you burn/melt the ends so it won't unravel just like we did in the 82nd. Great for camping, hiking, beach, around the house, just about anywhere. I use it to tie up the holes in the fence, a tarp at the beach for shade, tie trash to the truck when I go to the dump and I even tie tomato plants to sticks cause it doesn't hurt the stem cause it's soft.

This is a great product! Much better than I have been able to find even in our Military Surplus stores.It was definitely heavier than other brands I have tried. I plan to keep some in my 3 bug out bags and with my other camping supplies as well. I can think of a million ideas where you could use a good grade of cord like this. Hang your deer or other from a tree, or your food up high as well from bears while camping. I tied back our branches on our fruit tree that was heavy with fruit, and it held up well. I always use a clothes line when camping , but this is much better, doesn't sag etc. It doesn't slip when knotted either. I plan to order more in the near future. The price was lower than others I tried that did not have the same quality. Try this one. You won't be sorry.

This is the good stuff. The color was as described in the ad. It has the full 8 strands of three twists each. It is the Mil spec grade Paracord. I will use it mainly for camping and having on hands for emergencies while hiking. I have already used some to replace noisy metal zipper pulls on a shoulder pouch. The seller contacted me before the free delivery had even arrived to be sure I got what I wanted and to let me know more about their product. They have reason to be proud. I'm glad to buy product from veterans. Good stuff and I'll be ordering more soon because I will be needing more colors.

I cannot praise this company enough. Their product and customer communication is simply the best. The difference between commercial paracord and real paracord was not clear to me until I read their explanation and received their product.Their images are top shelf and aptly bolster their description. This is the real deal and a potential life saver.My current and potential uses for this product are too numerous to list here.
