Steering Wheel Mounted Control, universal for Universal Car Stereo DVD Player GPS Navigation System with key learning function

I bought this with mixed expectations to add steering wheel controls to my 2002 CR-V and have to say I am pleasantly surprised at the outcome having expected like most product f this type that it would have a bit of an aftermarket feel to it but it installs very neatly on the steering column and took very little time to install. If you are looking to add steering wheel controls to your car that looks remotely stock this is definitely the best product I have found out there. Installation instructions were also pretty good, just note that the install on something like this is always going to be more effort than an infrared or bluetooth option but the result is considerably better and if you have the right tools and some basic DIY skills it is not all that hard to do.

Did not work for me

It works, so I am happy with it. I bought a cheap(ish) Android head unit for my Vivaro 2012 van, but the steering wheel controls didn't work with it. I got the harness adapter but still couldn't get it to work. On the head unit, there are cables for ground and steering wheel controls. For this universal control, I wired the black to the ground and the red to the control wire. I went into the head unit settings, configured the controls, and boom, it works. Very pleased.

This is fantastic, I was so dubious but it works and works well, easy to fit. One star knocked off because the volume up is a little sticky, you have to press and release each time to increase volume rather just holding the button in… The sticky pad didn’t hold but that could have been user error, I sorted with two pack glue… Yes, I would recommend…

Very good for the price easy installation I was abit put of with other reviews about adhesive not sticking but i think they clearly didnt look hard enough in the box as there are screws included to mount it properly All works as should

I bought this on the basis that it looked "OEM" and didn't require any drilling to fit. It was bought in the *hope* that'd work with my aftermarket Sony head unit rather than *knowing* it'd work. It worked. It actually worked. I had to buy a suitable patch cable which wasn't from this site and I obviously won't list here (for Sony head unit owners, search JCK29-UCCAB-007 Sony Patch Lead), and solder the patch cable to the leads coming from this remote. (The patch cable is the lead that will plug into the back of the head unit as this remote only comes with 2 leads; signal and ground, no plug.) After plugging my frankencable into the back of my head unit whilst it was disconnected from the power (important bit of advice for Sony head unit owners, else it won't recognize the remote), and plugging everything else in, I powered it up. I was able to enter "steering wheel controller learning mode" and assign the buttons accordingly (in my case I assigned the mute button to "source") The whole process was a bit of a faff however if you're not afraid to do a bit of research to find the right patch lead then it's a pretty cheap way of adding steering wheel column controls to a car that doesn't have any. My only criticism of this product is that it seems to only come in left-hand orientation/installation only (unless an upside-down install doesn't bother you). Not a problem for most European and US cars, bit of a pain for Japanese vehicles

so glad I found this, look and feel is good, like it had been there from the start. Much better than the alternatives wich strap onto the steering wheel.

Ho installato un'autoradio aftermarket con s.o. android nella mia auto sprovvista di comandi al volante. In effetti regolare il volume, saltare tra un brano e l'altro sono cose banali ma che possono distrarre e creare pericolo durante la guida di un automezzo. Questo prodotto è veramente una grande idea e sono riuscito a montarlo senza grandi difficoltà. Logicamente questo vale per chi ha un pò di manualità e magari è stato in grado di installarsi l'autoradio in autonomia. L'oggetto è semplice e si installa nei pressi del volante vicino alla leva delle frecce. Si può attaccare con il biadesivo in dotazione o fissare con delle viti presenti nella scatola. Io consiglio l'adesivo perché quando portate la macchina a lavare o se inavvertitamente urtate in maniera violenta la leva del controllo autoradio questa si stacca e poi si rimetterà senza problemi mentre, al contrario, se la fissate si potrebbe spaccare con relativi danni. Comunque dalla leva installata con l'adesivo escono dei fili che vanno collegati ai cavi "key" dell'autoradio e poi i comandi vanno settati con l'app comandi volante o similare presente nella radio. Il bello che il comando funziona benissimo e non ha bisogno di batterie. Io ho programmato i tasti presenti per il controllo volume, avanti e indietro delle tracce audio, pausa, play e mute. Testato anche con CarPlay. Poca spesa, tanta resa!

Fácil instalación fácil manejo ha pesar de traer la botonera muy simple

Funktioniert jetzt perfekt. Hatte das Teil zuerst an nem günstigen China Radio, da hat sich die Geschichte je nach Temperatur verstellt, hab ich's im warmen eingestellt ging es am nächsten Morgen im kalten nicht mehr und umgedreht. Lag aber am Radio, jetzt hab ich ein Sony Radio verbaut und bei dem würde die Fernbedienung einmal eingestellt und seit dem läuft sie ohne Probleme. Die Schrauben sollte man übrigens nutzen, der doppelseitige Klebestreifen hält nicht wirklich lange.
