I’m really happy with this 2-pack of adjustable backpack chest straps. No, they are not elastic!
These straps will solve the problem on a couple of daypacks that have no sternum strap. It will made these packs easier to carry and prevent the shoulder straps from trying to slide off your shoulders when manuvering. The straps include the necessary buckles to attach to the shoulder straps and are somewhat adjustable for width between the shoulder straps. However, the straps do not have any elasticity in them. They are solid nylon and they do not have any reflective material in the strap either. They still work fine but the description is misleading.
