The French Experience Level 1: A Multimedia Course for Beginners Learning French, Level 1

The French Experience is a great book for a beginner's course in French. The grammar is logically presented, the student learns expressions that are in current use in France, the cultural sections are state-of-the-art, and the coversational examples are right on. In short, the book is ideal for teaching students who are going to have to speak French as soon as possible. Like many British products of this type, it is a well-thought out guide that is extremely useful.

good course book for study. easy to use and provides language in an interesting and informative practical way. Good for external studies, recreational learning and pre-travel.

Perfect for the class I'm teaching!!! Much better quality than any of the American textbooks that I've tried and reviewed!!! Would definitely choose this any day over the other textbooks. Better quality, doesn't have the mistakes that the American textbooks typically have.

Un bon complément au manuel. La grammaire est travaillée à travers des situations concrètes et pratiques. Il faut tout de même approfondir les points grammaticaux à côté, comme les verbes, les structures de phrases. Néanmoins, je recommande cette méthode pour les touristes et ceux qui vivent en France. C'est un livre très utile.

I too purchased this book as an additional help to my French evening class. I have quite a few books, cds, .pdfs etc to help and I have to say this is one of the best! It is very organised, well laid out, and it engrosses you into learning words (vocab), phrases and everything you'd expect. But the one thing I love about it is how it helps you to learn about the French way of life. Ive only just bought it and Unit 6 (not doing it in order, I am doing it in the order of my class) about the Metro underground, the signs etc is not in any other of my books. Ive had to look at google maps for the metro and go through the book as it asked the questions. The BBC videos are good too, well, they are quite old now but still relevant. All in all, along with the CDs, this coursebook and the activity book, I am a very happy learner.

Arrived in good order

The book is clean, with no handwritten notes, etc. However, the corners of the book are quite dogeared and the condition is not quite as good as described. Nonetheless, the very reasonable price offsets this.
