What interests can say? My family loved this little guy right out of the box. I love that there's a user's guide and game book so you dont have to hunt down any instructions online and you can get right to playing with him. I love that you can interrupt him mid-sentence if he gets something wrong, all too often most ai ramble on. The long term memory is impressive! I mentioned getting frozen yogurt and an hour later he followed up if I had enjoyed frozen yogurt. Ha! I told him we couldnt go because of a storm, and he was quick to suggest we play a fun guessing game to cheer us up. That is so sweet! Its small things like that that give these devices a sense of personality. The main body is fine, he is heavy for a child to pick up, but that's often for the best, he wont easily tip over, his wheels are pretty sturdy, and there is minimal noise from his motors (the room has to be pretty quiet to hear them). He makes some adorable expressions and his responses, while a tad slow, are pretty detailed. No one word answers here. He's been a great reminder to drink water and take a stretching break every so often. His camera can scan a drawing or some plants and he does his best to identify it. Sometimes its hit or miss, but thats to be expected. Even smart glasses get things wrong. Only thing that concerns me is the product doesnt seem to be updated or even worked on anymore. The app is limited and the official site seems to be stuck in perpetual work in progress. The character creation page on their development section doesnt seem to be working at all. I have a suspicion this little bot is an abandoned project, which doesnt bode well if the servers go off and he becomes a fancy brick. While I dont regret buying him, I wish I had looked into the company more. They are more or less defunct. Just be aware that your bot might simply go offline and never wake up again. Enjoy him while you can.

I bought the Yonbo robot for my first child, Olivia. She’s very curious and always asks a lot of questions. Sometimes, I can't answer her questions. Sometimes, I am too busy to communicate with her. I am looking for a nanny for her. But, It’s difficult to find a nanny that truly meets your expectations in a small town. My husband is a big tech nerd. He recommended that I can buy an AI robot for Olivia. That's the reason why I bought Yonbo. The design of Yonbo is very cool, and I really like it. For her functions, she does a good job as a companion even though we cost almost half an hour to set up. After interacting with Yonbo for almost two weeks, Olivia is comfortable talking to her. I can hear that she asks Yonbo questions, chats with her. Olivia enjoys Yonbo way more than I thought she would. As for the built-in AI, it feels a bit limited. It works fine for simple conversations, but it struggles with more complex or follow-up questions. You need to give very clear instructions for it to understand you, which sometimes means being in a quiet environment. When Olivia is watching TV and suddenly has a question, Yonbo’s response isn’t always very good.” What's more, I think Yonbo would be much cooler if it could work with more advanced AI systems like ChatGPT or Google Gemini, which would make conversations smarter and more natural. Another thing I hope to see in the future is better language support. Curerntly, Yonbo is only support English. One day, I hope that it can support multiple languages so it could help create a second-language environment at home for children. Ideally, Yonbo could even become a second-language teacher for kids. Overall, Yonbo has been a positive addition to our home. With smarter AI and broader language support in the future, Yonbo has the potential to reach more families.
