beware that the helium doesn't keep the balloons afloat long. I did it for a company event. Blew them up at 4 pm the day before, and the next morning, they were all on the floor. I still can't find anywhere in the description that says they only float for 5-7 hours?

I was a little concerned with the other reviews when I bought this. Not sure what to think about the others but here's my experience. I received this tank timely and the packaging was just fine. When I pulled the tank out of the box I did think I got duped (empty tank) because I've never bought a helium tank before. I was expecting the weight to be like what my propane tanks are like. Was not so. This tank does feel empty upon pulling it out of the box, but I've filled several balloons with it so far and it's working perfectly. A little more detail though: the plastic shut off valve people are complaining about - I have no problem with. It works. Enough said. Turn the knob on only when you are ready to use the tank, then shut it off. On the balloons: I bought some balloons from the dollar store where you can insert a nozzle in them then the slit in the bottom of the balloon seals itself when you press on it after the balloon is filled with helium. I think this detail has much to do with people complaining about balloons falling down after 1 day. I did a "test run" with one of the aforementioned balloons and the balloon was in the air for well over a week. I will buy this tank again. I have zero problems with it.

The only downside is that once you use all the helium you have to throw the tank away. Otherwise it works just as good if not exactly like the ones you see at any dollar store. Pricey-BUT...if you're wanting to blow up a good bit of balloons, who wants to take them all to a store, to stand in line & wait while they blow up fifty-eleven balloons, and charge you over a $1 PER BALLOON(especially if you don't buy balloons from said store) when you could've just ordered this tank. And even if you don't think you need as much helium, there's always a birthday, anniversary, or some celebration that you could put it to use later.

I read some of the reviews and was worried the balloons would deflate quickly. As you can see in my picture one got away from us. HOWEVER this picture was taking 4 days after our event and it is still floating. The regular latex balloons will not stay inflated overnight. I blew one up for purposes of seeing if it would. But we did blow the latex ones up in the morning and they were still floating at least 5-6 hours later. They were popped after that so I can speak as to how long until deflation. The one tank blew up about 5 medium sized mylar balloons, 2 extra large mylar balloons (one shown in picture), and another 15-20 medium sized latex balloons. Overall I am happy with the product it is really just the price I had an issue with. I purchases my tank in December 2021 and our party got cancelled due to COVID so I kept the tank and just used it for our party in January 2023 and 0 issues. I did notice though the cost was about $20 more since I purchased it in 2021. Inflation I guess!

This does not inflate 50 balloons. It inflates about 25-30, 6 inch latex balloons at most. However, the balloons stayed inflated all day.

I have read all the mixed reviews of this product. I've been using this product for years and have generally been happy. I would recommend filling balloons as close the start of the party as possible. That being said, I have a mylar balloon that is still floating on my ceiling almost a month later. Kids didn't put ribbon on it so I'm waiting for it to drift down. Follow the directions and you should be good. Blows up a fair amount of balloons too

The valve is impossible to open. It’s almost like they glued it shut. I have used a hammer. I have used pliers and it is impossible to get open and today is my daughter’s birthday. I wanted to have balloons for her now I have to run out before she gets here to get another helium tank. I am very unsatisfied with this product.
