I was having problems with my Yamaha Clavinova. It is quite a few years old and the floppy disks were beginning to degrade and not play. I had no issues installing this in the piano. My only problem was finding the programs and figuring out how to transfer the floppies and midi files into the program and then transfer them to the usb drive. I purchased a usb floppy drive to read the disks, but it was acting a bit flaky at times. Luckily I still had an old laptop with an internal floppy that read them with no issues. After some trial and error, the floppy emulator works like a charm. No more swapping floppy disks and no more read errors from degrading floppies.

I have this old yamaha psr 1100 keyboard with original floppy disk drive and I couldn't use any of my custom made voice, songs or styles on this keyboard, after installing this USB drive I can download or create any style and simply store them on USB drive and use them on my Yamaha keyboard. If you want to upgrade your Roland EM-15/25 or same like that, it won't work. I spent 3 days to find any solution, read all instructions, watch all video tutorials, no good result. Problem #1: no step-by-step instruction for spesific music instrument, just general usb-floppy emulator formating. Before buy it, find specialist who can help you upgrate your keyboard or buy preinstalled emulator exactly for your project. Next time I buy not USB but SD emulator and preinstalled for my EM-25.

Another Chinese variant of the GOTEK floppy emulator, this device worked well out of the box. However, there was little documentation available. I found it performed much better once I replaced the original firmware with HxC2001. Once I got the hang of working with floppy disk images, the rest was pretty straightforward. I used this to replace the floppy drive in my Yamaha CVP-96 Clavinova, a 1995 vintage digital piano. It works perfectly in that role. Now I can toss those old unreliable floppy diskettes away!

I received 2 of these items and both are missing the mounting hardware. The hardware is very important and without the product cannot be used. I am replacing my customers floppy drives so I use them often.
