I’m a Year 6 teacher, as well as the mum of a Year 6 child, and I think these practice papers are incredibly like the real thing. I’m sure most parents will be aware that it’s a really good idea to leave past SATs papers to be completed in school, as doing them at home first can give your child’s teacher an inaccurate picture of their strengths and weaknesses. These practice papers are better than practice books because you can build your child’s stamina by having them complete the tests under timed conditions and it gives you a good idea of their weaknesses, things in a classroom of 30 children your child’s teacher might miss. I discovered my son often doesn’t form numbers correctly so they can be misinterpreted or he misinterprets them himself. I hope we can fix this before May! The pack is great value - you get two sets of the 3 papers (arithmetic 1, reasoning 2 & reasoning 3). They come in a brown paper envelope, just like the real papers, and the question types and style are just like the real thing too.

There are six in there, 2 arithmetic tests and 4 reasoning. The questions were varied and the answers are included, a helpful pack!

My son was able to understand what areas he was lacking and improve upon himself.
