North American Whitetail Advanced Stand-Hunting Strategies Book Paperback – January 1, 2005

If you want to improve your deer hunting buy this book! The way I look at it if you get just one useful idea from a book like this it is worth the price. I have about a dozen books on the subject and this is one of the best. The stories are minimal and always used to illustrate a point. Just about every page has another lesson to learn or reinforce. The book is small, concise, and well written. The product he writes about are minimal and are used by the writer in the field because he feels they work. I love this little book and will be reading it every year as a little refresher course. If you love deer hunting buy it!

After I read that this author had been turned down a few times before his book was published amazes me. OBVIOUSLY the publishers had NO hunting experience. This book is for ANY hunter, especially those that want to know about hunting agriculture areas for whitetails. The author shares tons of mistakes he has made over the seasons and how he learned from them. I assure you, as you read this book you will connect with the author on this level several times and even see where you made a few mistakes and didn't know it. Great book for a young hunter. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

If you have been stand hunting for a length of years and pay careful attention to detail already, you probably won't learn much from this book. It is all wonderful information but somewhat basic. I did not see anything as groundbreaking. If you are new to hunting or stand hunting, especially archery, this book is a goldmine. Even if you are experienced, the book is a good read, just don't expect it to be an 'AHA!' type book.

Good first book for stand hunting, but much of this information can be learned through articles in hunting magazines. I typically buy whitetail books to learn more about a certain topic because magazine authors are typically limited in the amount they can write. This book did not take it much past that.

This book, although it is a little hard to read in the beginning, is packed full of valuable tips from a veteran deer hunter with tons of success... Pass it on..

The quality was very good and it was as we expected it to be. We purchased it for a Christmas gift for a friend who is an avid hunter.

I wish I read this book much sooner! Very informative and well written. The book was in excellent condition, and shipping was fast. I was very pleased with the book and service, and I highly recommend it!

It's a great read for hunters of all experience levels. It made me realize what I need to do in order to reach the next level as a successful hunter. It also reminded me of the scouting and scent elimination methods I need to sharpen up on. Highly recommended!

There is a lot of information with photos to help illustrate the information. The writing style makes this a very easy read and the ifnormation is broken down in a logical manner.
