Camping, urbex, power outages, it does it all!
I needed a durable, reasonably sized, rechargable and bright bright, and I mean bright flashlight for camping and other unlit adventures, and this certainly has delivered. First time round getting this flashlight I dropped it once from a low distance and the paint immediately flaked (seems to have been a quality control issue) after having it replaced and having done way more then drop it to this day, the paint is still holding up, so it seems to have been a one time issue. As for how bright it is, this thing delivers, as you can see by the attached photo. Walking the local golf course at night (PGA certified or whatever blah blah, all I know is a few big televised events have happened there) it's able to throw it's focused beam onto trees over a half mile away no prob, since it's a big course it's definitely a great testing area for it given the open-ness of it. As for battery life I haven't had it die on me yet, charged it once a year ago, left it in my car all summer all winter, used it a few times and then used it heavily during a camping trip a few weeks ago, having rarely turned it off at night (since that's a finicky process due to the multi function button) and it was still goin after all that. After I got home I plugged it in and it charged overnight (very slow charge I might add, 9-10 hrs depending on how much it was discharged) but given it's not an immediate use item that spends 99% of it's life on standby, it's not a huge deal. Overall, it's done is duty well, incredibly bright, useful but un-intuitive dimming and SOS options, and incredible battery life. Definitely doesn't compare to any off the shelf flashlight that you'd find at your local store.

Rear Cap not removable!! Be warned ** New Update**
Just got the flashlight delivered. It's well built and have sufficient brightness which will work even in pitch black nights. The recharging port is covered by a flimsy flap; probably will protect some water splashes but not sure about submerging it in water. The unit I received appeared to have a rear cap which I thought can be twist off but it doesn't according to Anker. The BIG turn off is the non replaceable battery as confirmed by the reps in Anker. If over time your battery doesn't hold charge, you are out of luck and will have to toss it as they can't be replaced. Why would they do that?. Anker reached out to me and listened to my concerns. They send me another flash light with removable rear cap with the same lumen. The only difference is its one cell instead of two. I don't mind that since the battery is replaceable. I'm very surprised and happy Anker takes care of their customers, and I'll be one for life. I'd recommend buying from Anker.

Love this flashlight
Ok so I've had multiple lights over the years. I almost didn't but this because of one thing... The battery is not removable BUT after using this for a few months, WHO CARES!!! THIS THING IS GREAT. Pros: Solid metal construction Super bright Cheap for the quality Rechargable Great zoom Comes with charge cord Multiple light mode Battery life is great Cons Wish it told me when it was getting low I used this every morning and night to walk my dog a minimum of 10 minutes each trip. The battery life was great, I only charged it once every week to a week and a half. It took me a minute to realize you hold the power button for 2 seconds to skip going through all the light modes in order to simply turn on and off. I'm extremely happy with this flashlight after researching for a couple weeks. Will probably order another before the warranty is up just to have a spare. This thing is BRIGHT, when zoomed in, I can see about a quarter of a mile maybe more. Love this thing.

Very bright + Mode Memory, however.
The flashlight is very bright and it has multiple settings which make it a very versatile flashlight. The cycle of modes or settings include Bright, medium, low, strobe, S.O.S and OFF. However, the flashlight does not need to cycle through all the settings or modes to turn it off, you simply push down on the button for about a second and the flashlight turns off. That action to turn it off also allows the flashlight to record that last setting or mode that was used, allowing it to be turned back on in that very same setting it was prior to being turned off. It also has a telescopic function which allows the flashlight to be used as a spotlight or floodlight which is the biggest selling point in my opinion, as it adds more versatility beyond the other settings. I bought the double cell version as I wanted a flashlight with longer battery life between charges, and also because I realized many of the negative reviews were from costumers whom bought the single cell version. The flashlight has performed really well regarding the function of the different light settings during these few hours I have had it, but it does have some issues in the back/bottom of the flashlight where the function button and the micro usb charging port are located. The multi purpose button itself is rather small and not easily accessible as other larger buttons on other flashlight lights. The reason for the button being small is the fact that right next to it you have the micro USB port used to charge the battery. The port is protected by a flimsy rubber cover that doesn’t have enough elasticity or pivotal function to prevent it from ripping apart, which is exactly what happened to the flashlight I received. I didn’t realize the cover had ripped off until I grabbed it to test it outside and noticed there was no cover and saw it laying on the table. This is not a deal breaker for many, but it does annoy the hell out of me since I have only had the flashlight for a few hours and it already has a broken micro USB port cover and makes me wonder how that may affect the port’s ability to resist water or dust damage. It comes with a wrist strap or lanyard which loops under the flashlight rather than the side, making the flashlight unstable if it ever needs to be sat facing upwards. Overall this is a good flashlight especially for the price, but I really wish Anker would have chosen a different way to protect the USB port as the rubber cover is easily broken off without one being able to notice, leaving the port completely exposed to the elements. I have purchased many Anker products for myself and as gifts and have always had some positive feedback on their products. This product is no exception but I am really considering sending it back based on the poor, flimsy rubber cover that easily brakes off.
