Blew me away.
Absolutely one of the finest coffees I’ve ever had. The flavor profile and lingering finish are phenomenal—rich, smooth, and unbelievably creamy. I’m using a DeLonghi ECP3420 paired with a bottomless 51mm portafilter, grinding my beans with a Tuni G1 set to level 6 for a very fine consistency. I incorporate a 1.7mm puck screen and dose 16 grams for a proper double shot. The result? Consistently exceptional espresso. This coffee is a hidden gem—zero acidity, just pure, balanced brilliance. It’s earned a permanent place in my rotation.

Lavazza hit a home run with this one!
Wow! This coffee is seriously good. Unbelievably smooth. Solid chocolate. Velvety yet with enough clarity. No harshness or acidity at all. I do 13.5 grams in and 28 out with declining pressure from 8 to 4 bars, which is my standard process, and get great results. I drink both lattes and cortados and these beans suit them. I hope it continues to be available.

Astounding
I'm not usually one to write reviews. But this coffee is worth the time to write one.I'm a Coffee snob but not afficianodo meaning I don't Weigh my coffee and all that stuff. I use regular Drip, French Press, Moka pot, Mainly I use My tchibo auto Espresso machine. So buy quality beans. And every time I buy a roast by lavazza I'm blown away by the smoothness and the flavor profile. And for the price it's just a no brainer I've spent 5x the price on other beans that aren't nearly as good. As for this specific roast that say it's a Dark roast but I definitely would not consider it one. But it's definitely has the flavor intensity you would expect from a Dark roast but with a nuttiness you would get from a medium roast. Lavazza will continue to be in my rotation of coffee it does not disappoint

I'd buy it again.
I drink dark coffee only. I've been trying diffetent Lavazza coffees. When I opened the bag the beans weren't da rk. I decided to give the coffee a chance. To my surprise it brewed dark and I actually like it. Very flavorful.

Not a dark roast and certainly not an espresso
According to the advertising blurb this is supposed to be a dark roasted espresso. It is neither. I'm not quite sure what this stuff is. The beans right out of the bag are a pale, pale brown in color for the most part, mixed with beans of an even much more pale color. And this is the first time I've opened a bag of beans that had absolutely no aroma whatsoever. Seriously. the beans, even when fresh ground, have absolutely no aroma.Brewed it's even worse. Brewed it again has no aroma at all,. and even less flavor. Whether put through my espresso brewer, a drip brewer, french press, nothing will get this stuff to yield up anything even close to the flavor of coffee. I am impressed by one thing, I hadn't thought it was possible to do something to coffee beans that would completely and utterly remove all aroma and flavor from them, but they've managed to do exactly that.Hugely disappointed. Other roasts of coffee I've bought from this company have at least been drinkable. This batch went straight in the compost bin.
