Has 4 sides. 2 sides have gauge markings and 2 sides are black. The black sides makes reading clear liquid easy. Nice product. Arrived quickly.

Great product and can't beat the price.

It definitely does what you need it to do but keep in mind its not geared toward measuring clear products. The surface is coated with an "non stick" coating to protect the wood but it causes a slight problem when trying to see a clear liquids measurement. I usually have to dip it wipe it clean an re dip it a few times to be able to see where its measuring.
