Fisher-Price My First Dollhouse

My daughter loves this house. She has had it for several months and still plays with it every day. It is, by far, her favorite toy. It's strong and sturdy, is easily moved, and it doesn't take up much space at all.I do have a few minor problems with it though:First of all, we bought all of the furniture accessories that go with the house, some of which was kind of cheesey to sell separately. I mean, the house doesn't come with a bed or a crib for the baby. But whatever, we knew that going in, so we shelled out for the extra furniture. However, as one other reviewer mentioned, the extra pieces don't really all fit in the house too well. That was really disappointing. If the house was just a centimeter wider, I think the extra furniture would work a lot better.Secondly, the furniture is kind of straight and slippery, so the dolls fall off the kitchen and rocking chairs a little too easily. Not a big deal, but it can be frustrating for a two-year-old. This could probably be fixed if the seats were a little longer, or perhaps angled at something less than ninety degrees.Finally, as this toy is marketed to younger children, I feel the need to mention that the paint comes off the dolls pretty easily. If your child still tends to put things in her mouth, as mine does, you might want to consider that when you make your purchase.

I recently purchased this toy for my 2 year old granddaughter. She has never had a toy that conquered her attention but this one does. She plays with it on a daily basis and refers to the dolls as "my mommy" "my daddy" and "my baby".When I ordered this item, the description stated there were sounds and this resulted in returning the first doll house, because it had no sound, and receiving a replacement which did not have sound either. In checking directly with Fisher Price, I found they stopped making the houses that make sounds in 2005. Amazon has now updated this page to reflect that information.In the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, Wal-Mart and Target do not carry this item nor do they carry the furnishings. Toysrus is the only place I have been able find them though, with Christmas coming, this could change.Amazon has the furniture, however, I bought the grandma and stroller set at Toysrus considerably cheaper than listed here at Amazon. The other furniture, however, is relatively priced on Amazon and taking into consideration taxes and driving to a store, I would suggest purchasing online.Fisher Price has a newer, bigger dollhouse which is similar in contrast to "My First Dollhouse", however, for a 2 year old, the pieces are more complicated and harder for a little one to keep up with."My First Dollhouse" is a wonderful introduction to playing house, and the perfect first dollhouse for any child.

My daughter is 17 months old and Santa brought her this, along with the Mom and Dad and Baby Room accessories for Christmas 2009. It is absolutely adorable and so precise in workmanship. The dollhouse and accessories are durable and the Mom, Dad and baby's legs and arms can move! Like all other reviews, the dolls are a nice size and easy for a toddler to hold. Also, the dolls features are nicely detailed. My daughter loves this dollhouse and it is definitely age appropriate. She loves the lamp and walks around the house with it in her hand. She is not quite yet at the stage where she puts the appropriate pieces in the correct places, but she plays with the many pieces and dollhouse. Also, it comes with the bathroom and kitchen items and the family of three. This is definitely value for money. Any little girl will love to have this dollhouse and will prove many hours of delightful fun. My daughter loves puppies and I decided to buy her the TV room set to complete her house. A definite keeper and very beautiful for a toddler. I actually had fun playing with it the first time we assembled it and still do! You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

My daughter got this from Santa for Christmas this year. She is just 2 and she LOVES it! My husband put it togehter in about 15 minutes with no trouble. She immediately ran to it, and played with it for over an hour non stop. It come with the mommy, daddy, and baby little people. It also came with a little toilet, kitchen, and table and chair set. All of it is perfect for her age range, with simple and easy to use pieces. We also had a friend's daughter over who is 4, and they played with it together for a long time (long enough for my friend and I to have an uninterrupted cup of coffee...priceless!) Any little girl would enjoy thid durable and adorable dollhouse! We looked at other ones before buying this one, and I am so glad we did!

Pay attention to the model numbers...several have been discontinued. The ones that make sounds and require batteries have been discontinued. We have L9502 (no sounds). This was very easy to put together...just snap on the balcony and patio and you are good to go. No little stickers to put on!!! My daughter (2) was able to play with this immediately out of the box. Her older brother (4) and sister (4) were fighting for a turn to play with it as well. I like that it does not come with a million little pieces. You may want to purchase at least one add on because there is no bed included for any of the dolls. Bedtime is very important around here...

We don't have much space so this little doll house has been perfect. I often find my daughter (3 years old) playing happily in her room by herself - but I have also caught her older brothers playing with her (7 and 5). We didn't order any extra peices and there is enough for her to have fun with - and for me not to have to be hunting down too much when they seem to leave the house. Great product.

My grandaughter loves playing with her dollhouse. She uses her imagination and isn't quite two. She plays with each character as if they are real. For an example, she takes the "Mama" and has her help the "baby" with various tasks. It is quite interesting to watch.This is a simple but sturdy doll house. I recommend it for the younger children.

When i saw this toy on amazon i immediately purchased it as i know it can be diifficult to find. We opended it Christmas day and i was really disappointed as it looks cheap and nasty i thought the quality would be better especially being fisher price but it is not what i expected don't be fooled by the fact that it is fisher price you can buy a cheaper dolls house for less money than this and of better quality.
