Does this actually make plugs that it leaves in the yard or does it just punch holes in the yard?

It makes plugs in your yard, and plenty of them.

can anyone that has had this for a few seasons tell me how well it is holding up from a durability standpoint. Any input is appreciated.

I have had mine about 2 years now, used it for 5 large pieces of land, some a little bumpy, but mostly flat. Works great with 3 8x8x16 cinder-blocks strapped in for weight. I think it works great and seems to be quite durable. Like someone else said, clear the mud and small rocks from the knives, clean it, keep it inside if you can, it should last for years. Wear gloves to assemble or you'll surely bleed. Sharp knives. Then you'll want to sharpen them up for the next season. Like the product. Glad I bought it.

Do you think someone can pull this by hand?

No they would need to pull it with some motorixed something ... Lawnmower, four wheeler, or something else. Could not be used by pulling it by hand ..!!!

Mine came missing the main shaft, who do I contact to to get one sent to me?

I’d call the manufacturer. Mine came with one bolt that was the wrong size. I called the manufacturer and they sent a replacement out in 2 days. Did your shipping box have any holes in it? The shaft is just a straight rod. It would be pretty easy for it to slip out of the box if there were a hole in one end.
