So very realistic looking! Pull the small wooden tab out of the crow to insert the wings! Great product!!!

The pros: These crows really look real. We got 2 sets (total of 4) to put around the chicken coop as we had hawks that were stocking our chickens. So far do good . The Cons: I had to glue the wings in & they were somewhat difficult to assemble. Instructions would have been helpful. I found if you pull out the short stick on the crow body, smear the long stick on the wing with glue & insert it where the short stick was on the body, that seems to work. Also wished there were longer wire on the feet to secure better Overall, they’re very releastic and life size.

Realistic? Yep. I put them outside on some bare branches for Halloween. They held up through rain, but after a few days I brought them inside. Because Poe’s The Raven poem had been on my mind, I perched one of the birds over a wall hanging thinking I would name it Edgar and just leave it there awhile. Had to remove it after a few days because it was just plain creepy . . .tap tap tapping on my chamber door. NEVERMORE!

Okay, so these work fine as a prop for a Ren Faire costume, which is what I used them for. And from a distance they look like real birds! Just don't look too closely. The one with the wings spread has the wrong kind of beak for a crow (and the wings are very eager to fall out--even after I superglued them). And the one in resting position, well... you can see the photo. It's not his best day. They both had strands of hot glue showing from when they were originally constructed. But again, they were fine. I'll be keeping these for future props and Halloween decor.

These are some of the most lifelike of any fake crows I've purchased, quite a bit larger than the normal little ones that are easy to find. The one with the wings spread is particularly striking, especially in the right setting, and their bodies are nice and "plump" like a real bird. My only issue was with the wings on the wing-spread crow: the wooden dowels were a little hard to remove, but I'm used to that. The wooden stick on one of the wings was split and fragile, making it hard to carefully slide into the wing slot on the body. It could probably be glued together, but I didn't have time to try it. I'll probably just leave the wings in permanently and not risk breaking the stick completely.

For my purpose, I have found that the fake raven works too well! This is baby bird season around my home right now. The ravens will follow the parent birds to their nest and then steal their babies and eat them. The ravens use my bird bath to wash their catch. They leave half of the rest of the baby bird in the bird bath which defiles the water. I usually go out and chase the ravens away when I see them perched on the bird bath. But lately there seem to be more of them and it is too much for me to continue to monitor. So after researching how to deter ravens and crows, I found this 2-bird fake set here on Amazon. Having read the reviews, I was sure this was going to work! Knowing how smart these ravens are, I went out at 11PM and tied the fake bird with the open wings to a string hanging from a tree close to the bird bath. I didn’t want the ravens to see me doing it so I did it at night. Now for the past 5 days there hasn’t been one bird even near the bird bath! NOT A BIRD SOUL IN SIGHT! My bird bath has been grand central station for many birds for the past 22 years. Now there isn’t a bird to be seen! Usually at dusk the telephone wires above the bird bath is filled with doves awaiting their turn to get a last minute drink before retiring for the evening. NOT A Soul lands on those wires since I set the fake bird! No bird even tries to land on the bird bath! Unfortunately this is not what I want! I only want to keep the nasty ravens away! So I will wait a few more days and then will have to take it down if the other birds are also staying away! I will have to find another method to deter the ravens. These fake birds work too well!

I would not recommend buying this the wings only the way the amount are not good. They keep coming loose and moving.

Great product but the glue shows on their faces, little cheaply made. I’d buy again tho because it’s nice t too bad if they just be careful with glue, I wish they had ravens
