Spacious and strong, ideal for all plants.
Sturdy and spacious, planted garlic, spring onions and shallots in mine. Excellent for lots of plants, may buy another two, one for herbs, one for flowers. They had space for drainageholes too.

Excellent little trough, gives a little with soil
Update: I have bought more now, this time making drainage holes in the bottom, as I have more herbs now, and these are still really good rectangular outdoor planters, my previously planted herbs are doing really well, so still very happy with these planters, the bulge is still there but the planters are tough and the matte black looks lovely against the green of the herbs, my rosemary is even flowering. Original review: I wanted a little trough for herbs and this is Ideal for that however.... When filling with compost, compost that was actually very dry, the long sides bulged, giving under the weight of even dry compost. This was unexpected and was a concern, but it didn't break, so fingers crossed it will survive once planted & watered. There are no holes for drainage, but these are easy to make if needed with a heated skewer, we don't need drainage for these herbs so didn't, but have done so before on other pots that go outside, we are keeping this one inside.

Not as sturdy as it looks
It looked good and nice size but when I filled it with compost the sides bowed out. Would not buy another.

Surprisingly excellent value
I’m physically disabled and in chronic, constant pain especially in my back, hips, thighs, knees & calves/ankles with paralysed feet and to stand & walk I need to wear splints on my lower legs & 2 sticks (what fun!!!) but I really wanted to plant a little vegetable 'garden' I could care for myself. I was a tad dubious about the quality & manoeuvrability of trough given how incredibly cheap it was…I needn’t have been concerned, it is brilliant. While, yes, of course, I wish it was made of recycled plastic, you can’t expect miracles at that price. It took 9L of coco/coir and 20L…ish of compost to fill it but it was still manoeuvrable (I couldn’t lift it, of course but I think a healthy person with muscles that don’t look like knots in a string of sausages could quite easily). Needless to say, I filled it near where it was going but found it was easy to push it into its final position! I now have healthy tomatoes, beetroot, peas and a cucumber plants growing in it…had some lovely raw peas instead of crisps last night…yum!! It is waaay sturdier than one might expect and truly is great value for money and has plenty of room, though I don’t think it would be deep enough for anything but the most stunted of potatoes!!!

Deep trough
Well constructed study plastic troughs. These are both wide and deep enough for carrots and root veggies 🥕. The black colour blends into the background and looks smart with flowers cascading over the edges. Being used on a sunny exposed balcony, these hold enough soil and water to stop plants from shrivelling up in hot weather.
