Inexpensive and works with my SNES
I was worried about this product given the large number of negative reviews. However, I needed a power adapter for a SNES and I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I took a chance. The cable is very lightweight and feels very cheap. That said, it powers my SNES without fail and that's really all I ask of it. Given the very large number of negative reviews from Genesis owners, I would stay away if that's what you're looking to power. If you have a SNES, this will work for you.

Excellent!
These are excellent! Only ever had 1 issue and it was resolved quickly by seller. Never had an issue with any of them not working correctly for any of the 3 consoles. Note: when it says works on Sega Genesis 1 it's the very first big Genesis that says 16-bit on system. Not for the 2nd 'Slim' or the 3rd small Genesis. Does work on original nes, top Loader nes and both Super Nintendo and Super Slim Nintendo.

Not as described
The product works great for my NES/SNES so if you're buying it for those, great. But I was buying it for use with my Genesis, I already had power cords for the other two. It doesn't fit a model 2 Genesis (which uses the same plug as model 3). I imagine it probably would fit a model 1 but I don't have one of those. If you only fir one of the three types of a system, you should really specify that, I just assumed since its a multi plug it would have a plug for each kind. Not the case. It has two plugs, one of which fits the SNES and one of which fits the NES but nothing for the Genesis. Very annoying.

Works...but will ruin your picture.
Unfortunately, finding power supplies that work with an SNES is not an easy task. The non-standard plug that Nintendo used can't be found many places. Using this power supply causees the SNES picture to have scrolling lines, ruining the video. I don't know if it's an "unregulated" power supply or something else is off...but this thing is a fraction of the weight of a true SNES power supply. Even comparing it to other brick style power adapters around my house...this thing is WAY too light. Whatever corners were cut, it's absolutely apparent in the picture. I have repaired over 30 busted SNES systems with various problems...I know what I'm talking about.Spend twice as much and buy an original snes adapter on ebay. You'll thank yourself.Update: Finally had a chance to try this out on an NES, and it worked fine on that system. So if you want this just for an NES, go for it. If you want this at all for an SNES, stay away.

Great!
I'm not sure why Amazon is classifying this as a game, but I'm glad I found this! I've been needing an adapter for my SNES for a while now and have been hesitant to pick up a third party adapter due to all of the negative reviews. This adapter is great though! It's incredibly light weight and when used with my SNES, there's no telling it apart from the official Nintendo power adapter (which is basically impossible to find).

If you handle numerous systems......
...... than this thing is gold to you. I buy and sell old home game systems constantly and cables like this that condense multiple cords into one are great imo. What can I say about this , ummmm ... it works. I have had no issue at all with it it has been reliable since the day I obtained it and has never let me down either for cord length or function. A good buy.

Not Sega Genesis compatible as stated
I received the item extremely quickly, but unfortunately that is the extent of the positive things I can say about this interaction. The power supply is extremely lightweight, made of a very flexible plastic and feels fragile. There are 2 cables coming out of the power supply as displayed on the box. The smaller one is intended to be used with the Sega Genesis, but is too large to fit. I don't have a NES/SNES to test it out with. Given what I've seen so far though, I would be hesitant to risk any of my older systems to this charger. I am going to be requesting a refund for this item.
