This was great--inexpensive, and saved me a few hundred at the dealer. (They won't top off refrigerant, they'll do a full cycle and fill.) I had seen some reviews so I was skeptical of if this would work, but I noticed one common theme people mentioned was that this gave an incomplete seal on the can and was difficult to attach. That's correct if you don't read the item description. Contrary to what you expect, you attach this to your can of refrigerant with a counter-clockwise motion. Easy-peasy, I attached it to my self-sealing can of refrigerant a couple of times with no issue. I went from an AC blowing out 80 degree air (ambient outside temp) to about 42 degree air in a matter of minutes with the help of this gauge. I definitely recommend it.

Based on all the mixed reviews I felt compelled to leave one of my one. I just wrapped up charging a 18 Chevy Cruze after replacing a damaged condenser. 1st thing to remember is that this is REVERSE THREAD. I'm guessing many of the reviews are based on people trying to screw on the can of refrigerant the same way they would R134. That said, I could tell the threads aren't stellar quality and found it helpful to screw on the can upside down to ensure I had good alignment. 2nd - the hose is pretty short. Keep this in mind when you order. An extra 6-8" would have been great. 3rd - I didn't see in the description whether this would work for the self seal cans but it did work for me. Turn the valve until you feel the can get cold from refrigerant coming out then maybe one more 1/2 turn.I dropped one star on the review because I don't see this lasting very long based on the feel. If I get 4 uses out of it I will be happy.

So happy with this product. It came a day sooner than expected and apparently the only one that can fit my car and no store even sells it, so that was super awesome.

Work perfectly for honda civic 2016. Easy to use as plug and play. Only taking couple minutes to fill a 12-oz can r1234yf. Highly recommend this hose!

Worked great. Took me 15 minute to figure out why I couldn't thread it onto the can of the refrigerant. It's a left handed thread. Manufacturer went out of their way to preclude use of R134A refrigerant on cars that take R1234yf. Be warned - the cost of this new refrigerant is high - 30 to 45 dollars a can. I got the best deal at NAPA.The new refrigerant cans are also self-sealing, so you have to leave the needle depressed for the refrigerant to flow. Learned that after noticing that the can still had refrigerant after several minutes.The charge hose didn't include any instructions. I usually don't read instructions, so I won't hold it against them. In this case however, it might have helped with troubleshooting.
