I am a quadriplegic and use one of these every day. My iPad is basically like my cell phone and it goes everywhere with me so these mounts have been awesome! I have three of them and will buy another one before the price goes up because honestly these things are worth twice what they're asking. It's frustrating reading some of the bad reviews because I would say that the majority of them are user error or just pure stupidity. This thing is made out of plastic not metal, they're not bulletproof and they will crack or break if you over tighten knobs, Drop them too hard, or bend them too far. If you keep that in perspective and realize it's limitations then they work awesome! I am literally writing this review from my iPad that sits in one of these mounts. They operate smoothly, easy to adjust, Lock positively when you want them to, and provide foam padding to prevent scratching and vibration on the device. The quarter inch thread mount is brilliant and provides so much flexibility for mounting options… Not just for tripods. I use mine on microphone booms, modular flexible hose like Loc-Line, and RAM mounts using their quarter inch ball adapters. This mount is just as good if not better then the RAM X-grip that cost over $100. Heck, people, for $13 buy two of them and have a back up, especially if you're the same type of person that needs “caution, contents may be hot“ written on their coffee cup. Trust me, I'm permanently in a wheelchair because of someone else's stupidity, I'm pretty good at calling it when I see it.

I have a 10.9” iPad Pro that I use for photography and for my LASR (Laser Activated Shot Reporter) app. I mount this on a Manfrotto tripod with an adapter. Since the iPad is about 4 feet from the ground, and I have a protective case, the last thing I want is for the iPad to fall. There is a multidirectional swivel ball that attaches on the back of the mount. It is secured with a plastic bolt. It can rotate or tilt in any direction. The arms of the mount can accommodate for virtually any thickness of protective case. The length of the mount is adjusted by a knob that turns 90 degrees to lock or release the mechanism. It is easy to operate. For a tiny investment, it will keep from dropping my iPad. Definitely one of the best tablet mounts that I have used to this date.

I use this with a 10" tablet for professional music gigs. It holds the tablet and the cover just fine. It does NOT fit my 11" tablet with cover. I have to take the tablet out of the cover and slide it into the holder carefully to make it work. I wish the mount could expand to handle the larger tablet. So far it's held up, but it is plastic, so take care not to break it.

4-28-2019 I posted a scathing review which I promptly deleted after I concluded, correctly, that it was operator error which made me think this stand was a POS. You may have to play with the ball and socket tightening down knobs until you get the feel for how it is supposed to be tightened. Took me a couple of minutes then it was a "DUH!" moment. I am using this to hold a tablet to use as a target camera proof of concept purposes LOL. There is no play in the holder and when mounted to my tripod, it is solid. Movement due to winds should be non-existent in lighter winds, minimal in higher winds. This is not the best I am sure, but it is more than enough for common uses. I will update when I use this withing the next month. ==I recommend this item.==

I purchased the mount for holding my 12" tablet for viewing PDF music sheets during my performances. I was able to mount it right to my keyboard with the tripod mount. The viewing angle could be tilted to just the right viewing angle. I have been looking for this solution for my application for a long time, and this unit has provided the solution with a quality product for a 12" tablet at a very reasonable cost. Customer service is 1st class. I emailed the seller with a concern, and the rep replied immediately with a very satisfactory resolution. They guarantee 100% satisfaction. This device is OK but be prepared to take your iPad out of any case that it might be in. The edges that hold the tablet or not deep and will only hold an iPad or tablet if you take it out of a protective case. That’s not my favorite thing to do given the price of the iPad. I like to keep mine in the case. But other than that it is pretty good at holding things in place with the tightening screws and it fits on a tripod so in that area it delivers.

This is a well-built mount: heavy duty and very adjustable to portrait or landscape orientation. My iPad Pro-10 has a snug fitting, which does not wobble when attached to tripod. Only one small con: my iPad Pro-10 is in a case, and the iPad does not fit on the mount when in its case. The manufacturer's specs are right on, not misleading. This will be a great item to use when taking time lapse images.

Have only used it once so far, for an iPad-based photo booth at a medium sized event (70 people), it worked great! Easy to use and set up, no instructions needed (although there were some in the box). Very sturdy, had no issues/complaints/concerns even though people were touching/typing on the iPad to click the camera button the send their photos to their phones &/ emails. Attached perfectly and easily to a tripod we already had. Would definitely buy this product again!

This is a bit pricey for some plastic but it works really well and is very secure only thing is sometimes you cannot loosen the part that keeps it so sturdy once you’ve tightened it well. Does the job though

I was disapointed at the quality of the tripod mount, for the price, it's not heavy duty at all. It is made very ridgid and lightweight plastic, which I expect will crack if we are not very careful. The pads on the back don't grip the IPad very well and it easily falls out. The mount for the tripod loosens with just a little movement. My expectation was of a quality more similar to my Mephoto Iphone tripod mount for the price.

I really like this product, its nade solid and came fast. It costs alot but am only satasfied with the item.
