Mattel Mega Mack Playset

I couldn't agree more with Jenny & Brat Mom. This toy is GREAT AND FUN IF YOU TAKE CARE OF IT AND ARE NOT ROUGH WITH IT! I do not mean to be harsh or offensive, but I mean, come on, parents - f you see that a toy is marked "5+" (which this toy CLEARLY is), it would probably be a pretty good idea to take that suggestion and NOT buy it for 3 or 4-year-olds!

It's a full playground for my kid with a collection of 20 or so Disney Pixar Cars vehicles. Everything packs in trailer and unpacks very easly. It is the best Mack character I've seen around.

We got this toy for my 3 year old son yesterday as a reward for 'throwing away his pacifier'. Well it has not even been 24 hours with this toy, and it is already a very frustrating toy- here are my reasons: Inside this truck, the toy opens up to reveal a play area with 3 sides- one is a 'bumpy road' one is a race track that spirals around, and the third is a highway road. In the middle is a 'launcer' that will launch one of the 3 cars that it comes with down one of these paths. There in lies the first issue- the toy has to be connected just so, and it constantly falls apart so it can not work right. Then poor old mack is lying 'broken' in four separate peices. My son constantly yells for us to help him. Then the next is the toy closes up to make one big mack truck. It is so big and cumbesome, that it does not fold up well at all and keeps falling apart- I hear my son shriek at the top of his lungs to fix it. It WILL NOT STAY TOGETHER. i feel awful because this was suppose to be a reward toy for him, and if I return it it will defeat the purpose. I guess we are stuck with it. I caution you if you buy it - buy a pair of ear plugs YOU WILL NEED THEM WHEN YOUR CHILD SCREAMS ALL DAY >

The only problemwith this toy is that it is hard for a kid to get everything set up correctly from its closed postion. and then impossible for him to put it up on his own. But he really has fun with it.

I think before people rate a toy baddly they should look at the suggested ages on the packaging. This toy was not made for 3 and 4 year olds. It is suggested for 5 to 9 year olds. I purchased this toy my 7 year old son and have not had a problem. There are reasons for the age limits on all toys and they should not be ignored!! My son absoultly loves the movie and has had hours of fun living out his favortie movie!! Jenny Baker

I bought this truck for my grandson age 4 for Christmas because he was asking for it. I know the rcommended age was for 7+. However neither his mother or father were unable to open and close this truck. It is bulky and cheaply made despite its way to high price of $94. My grandson was frustrated and asked why Santa would make a toy like that. It now sits in his bedroom gathering dust.

I hate to disagree, but I thought I would give another perspective of this toy. Yes, it is a bit complicated to put together, and even to play with at times. But you know what I think? Most toys should be not just supervised by a parent, but PLAYED WITH A PARENT! What is the fun of all these complex toys if the parent uses them as a "get the kid out of my hair" tactic? Maybe that is too harsh, so I will just say that this toy IS FUN, and IS WORTH The Money. My son loves it and will continue to play with it I am sure for a long time!! We have almost all of the CARS playsets and race tracks, and some are just very difficult! I will admit that! It was hard even for us to put together some of them. But this one is very fun and portable, and is the LEAST of our headaches of the cars playsets and tracks. If your child wants this, and deserves it, I say buy it!!! If you don't like it, you can ALWAYS return it. And your child will get over it, believe me. I love this product. This toy brings joy to my son, and that is what counts :)

bought it for my son almost 1.5 yrs ago.. played with it for 1 hr... just wasting space in the toy closet.. most of the little pieces are gone....

Needed something for my grandson and did not know what to get him after exhausting several sites I came across this and thought yes this is different. He loves it

Our boys were extremely excited about this toy, so it was very sad when this toy was found to be extremely poorly constructed. The lorry trailer section never closes properly and the parts are flimsy and poorly designed. We thought that for the money this was going to be a perfect Christmas present, and in the end we just binned it after much frustration. Please do not waste you money on this. I noticed another review has given this 5 stars. I can't believe this a review of the same toy.
