This truly is an Excellent Spoon. It’s Very Sturdy and Well Made, and the Exquisite, Detailed Etched-On Design makes it a Magnificent Work of Art Worthy of Display, on top of its “Practical Uses”. I have Never Seen Another Set of Wooden Kitchen Spoons that were “Decorated” with Etched-On Designs like these Spoons are, which makes them truly UNIQUE and “One of a Kind”!! The “Woodland Collection”, with its Array of “Forest Animals”, is perfect for an Animal Lover and Animal Advocate like Me. I have Woodland Animal Décor Throughout My Entire Home, so this particular collection fits in perfectly. Thus, gushing with LOVE for this “Woodland Collection” of Wooden Kitchen Spoons, I set about looking for and purchasing the ENTIRE COLLECTION on Amazon, and I managed to purchase ALL BUT ONE SPOON, a “Sauce Spoon” with a little Deer etched on it. NOWHERE on Amazon could I find the “Deer Sauce Spoon”! I went online to try and find it elsewhere, and decided to start with the Manufacturer, “Talisman Designs”, and lo and behold, they have a website talismandesigns.com, where one can purchase any of their items. I was THRILLED to find My “Missing Deer Sauce Spoon” there, it was “In Stock”, and for a GREAT PRICE of just $10.00!! Then suddenly, My Joy Turned To EXTREME UPSET when I saw the PRICES OF THE OTHER SPOONS THAT I HAD ALREADY PURCHASED ON AMAZON!! I PAID $13.95 for this TURNER SPOON, and talismandesigns.com had it for $9.00!! That’s a $4.95 PRICE DIFFERENCE and it’s NOT “In My Favor”. I Purchased a TOTAL OF 6 SPOONS From the SAME SELLER as I purchased this one from, and FIVE of Them Were “Over Priced” compared to talismandesigns.com’s Prices!! talismandesigns.com Didn’t Have the 6th Spoon, so there is No Price to Compare on that one. I PAID a TOTAL of $68.75 BEFORE TAXES for the 5 Spoons I Purchased from THIS SELLER, and the EXACT SAME 5 SPOONS would have COST ME a TOTAL of $43.00 BEFORE TAXES on talismandesigns.com. THAT’S A $25.75 DIFFERENCE FOR THE TOTAL ORDER, and ITS NOT IN MY FAVOR!! I Am NOT A Happy Camper!! I am Contemplating RETURNING the 5 SPOONS for a REFUND, and then Re-Purchasing Them on talismandesigns.com, but wonder if the grief and aggravation of shipping them back, plus POSSIBLE Return Shipping Costs, would “Negate” the $25.75 I’d Be Saving?? But, regardless of what I decide, I would, at the Very Least, like to “Make Other Amazon Shoppers Aware” and SAVE THEM FROM MAKING THE SAME COSTLY MISTAKE I DID.

I have been looking forever for a straight edged wooden spatula. I did find some but they tended to be overpriced. Then I found this one and it was priced well. The beautiful burnt in design was a super bonus. Looks very custom. I purchased two of these, one for me and one for my mom. We both LOVE these. What the picture and description doesn't show it that this had a nice tapered edge and a bit of a curve in the paddle. My father was so impress at how you can actually get under food and also effectively scoop food that I purchased an additional one just for him. It has been a long time since I have been so excited about such a simple product. I have now purchased the matching cooking spoons for us. For myself, I also got the condiment spoons and spreading knives. I love how these look and function! I HIGHLY recommend!

I had a non-descript, brand-unknown turner spoon for years. I always put it in the dishwasher. I guess that is a no no, but it lasted for about ten years of hard use before it started to split from the end.It actually took me a while to find this, because I did not want one that was half spoon-half turner. I use this to chop hamburger or sausage into smaller pieces while it is in a skillet, so I wanted something with a sharp edge in hard wood.This fits the bill perfectly, and does a great job. I will be sure to hand wash so that this one lasts twenty years!

Looking at the picture, I thought the image of birds and plants/vegetation was pretty gosh darn cute. And so, I added it to my cart. Upon receiving the spatula, I was a bit disappointed at how faint the actual image was. I mean, the cute design was the whole reason that I bought the spatula. I understand that some wear and fading would occur, but I didn't expect to start off that way. Ah well, online purchases are a bit of a gamble, aren't they? Still useful as an actual cooking tool, just worried about longevity of the stamped image.

Gift

I purchased this to use as a kind of spatula that wouldn't melt or damage my pans. It does flip things, kinda, but the edge isn't actually thin enough to get under and flip things like pancakes. It does an okay job of flipping burgers, but the angle is a little awkward for that too. That being said, when I do use it for everything else, it makes me smile.

I bought this and the matching corner spoon, these are heavier than the wooden utensils you typically see and are worth the extra cost. They are pretty yet functional. I use the turner to break up meat and move around sauteing vegetables and it works like a charm in my ceramic pans. I've used the spoon in recipes with canned tomatoes and tomato sauce. Neither utensil has absorbed any stains or oils. I hand wash and air dry and they clean up easily. Buy these and you'll be happy.

All along the top edge the wood has cracked, all the way down. I have bought wooden utensils at the $1 Store and they have lasted years long, this is over priced and terrible quality wood!
