Quick & Legal Will Book

When I needed to edit my Will I chose to get the best advice… THIS IS IT !!!

I liked the book but I really thought I was buying software.

So many of these self-help books are poorly written and hard to get through. When you throw in the legal aspect, it can be really hard to understand. This book is the exception. It is easy to follow, with clear step-by-step explanations and definitions. Samples of the forms are included in the book along with links to use blank forms for your own use. This is the first NOLO book I've purchased but it won't be the last.

I thought I would make my own will, having heard stories that wills are expensive. My brother did indeed write up his own will around the year 1982, using some sort of publication (I don't have any idea what it was). When he did pass away, his will did indeed hold up in court. I was the Executor, and also was listed as inheriting all of his possessions. It was really painless and I don't recall much, if any expense involved in executing the will. So, I'm sure a person can write a successful and legally binding will, using a publication designed to lead one step by step through the process.

I had read the book before, which came with a CD so that I could print forms that I needed. The copy I got did not have a CD, requiring me to go online to get the forms I want. I'm not too happy about that difference.

Like most Nolo books, this promises to address the most common cases simply and clearly, while highlighting the ways your case may *not* be simple. You will come away from reading this book quickly and with a very superficial understanding of probate -- but having completed your will! You will *not* come away with a list of 16 more questions than when you started, and feeling like you need to talk to a lawyer (unless, of course, your case is not simple -- but most are).
