All complaints are true but I still love 'em!
These are not KSC75s so no they are not the wireless version of that. The KSC75 is in its own category. Their sound quality is without equal in the audio space--especially at the price they go for. These BT221is have great sound quality for what they are which is great portable bluetooth headphones great for an active person. Let's go over all of the negatives first. 1) The bluetooth connectivity is the weirdest I have ever seen. I have been using bluetooth stereo headphones since 2008 when the iPhone 3GS gained the ability to play stereo over bluetooth. So I am very aware of how bluetooth works. The iPhone remembers the volume that was last used on every headphone you connect. So when you disconnect a device and come back to that same device, it will be at the perfect volume that you last used. Well this device throws that idea out the window and reconnects at 80% volume always. You can literally see the device increasing the volume from where you last set it to 80% volume right after connecting so this is BY DESIGN. These headphones are really not that loud so the person complaining about getting deafened by the headphones is full to it! Also these headphones take a ridiculous amount of time to reconnect to my phone. Around 15 to 20 seconds every time! I have never seen any bluetooth device that worked like this. I have used dozens of BT devices and they all connect in 3 to 4 seconds at the most! 2) They feel really cheap and plasticky. 3) They let all sound in as they don't even cover your ear opening. They perch at the top oj your ears so you will hear everything going on around you which is also a positive actually as you are going to be aware of your surrounding if walking or hiking(which is what I use them for. Here are the positives 1) They sound great. They have the Koss sound! Sure they lack bass but honestly your ears will adapt and after about 10 minutes, they sound just as good as any other pair of decent headphones. Great clarity and awesome midrange. 2) They are able to activate Siri which Koss doesn't even advertise. Just click the center button twice for Siri 3) The microphone is pretty good. I talked to my brother for a few hours and he never mentioned that he was not able to hear me fine. 4) Battery life is better than advertised. I get about 8 hours which is 2 hours more than claimed. 5) Charges quickly. Takes about an hour and a half for full charge 6) The controls are easy to use. They spaced the volume buttons far enough from the play pause that you are able to use the controls without fumbling really quickly. Much better control than the Koss Ports Pro wireless. 7) So comfortable! they disappear on. your ears! They are so light you will forget that they are there. 8) They also have a really nice open sound stage due to their above the ear design. It is some weird kind of magic going on. How can a headphone which does not get near your ear opening provide any kind of decent sound? One of the common complaints is that the ear clip breaks off. I believe this is because people are trying to push the headphones down to ge the driver close to their ears. This is also why some people are saying they are uncomfortable as they try to jam the things down their ears instead of just leaving them up on the ear where they belong. The best way to put these on to be comfortable and secure is to rotate the clips out and place on the ears and then push the drivers close to your ear. This might also be why some people have the cushions fall off. If they leave the clip close and shove the clip on your ears, this might lead to quick wear of the cushions. I have only had them for a week but I have worn then for 14 hours or so and so far there is no indication that the cushions want to come off. Anyway, I love these headphones and I recommend them despite their idiosyncracies

I like them
I have very sensitive ears and cannot use anything in ear for very long without pain. These are an amazing alternative. I have been using them for working out and at work. They work well in both circumstances. As someone who uses open back headphones at home these sound pretty good for what they are. My only concern is with the cable that attaches both sides. I dislike bluetooth devices that aren't truly 'wireless' and I always feel like that is where these will break first when they do break.

They sound very good, I use them for running. Great option - UPDATE - connection drops
Update Jan 16 2019 - Downgraded from 4 to 2 stars. Connection kept dropping in crowded NYC subway train. Not sure if the public wifi that requires sign in at every station or many commuters with bluetooth devices cause interference. Bit really annoying. Not sure if I got a defective unit. Still waiting on Koss customer service. Amazon rep told me to try to put the phone in airplane mode and turn the earbuds off for 60 seconds and pair again. 2nd issue is one of the very thin ear pads came off, and does not stay on securely. I wonder if there is adhesive or better earpads as a replacement. Sound is good, I have not compared it directly to the Koss Porta and Sporta pros that I own, but seems pleasant. ----- I have been using Koss Porta Pro and Sporta Pro for years. Very nice sounding at a great price. I started running and I did not want to have my phone wired to a headphone to avoid tangles or destroying the cable. I wish Koss made a bluetooth version of the KSC75, that i do not have but have the same drivers as the S/Porta pro. Anyway these to my non audiophile ears, sound nearly as good. Warm sound. Of course they do not stay as close to the a ears like a real headphone like the Porta Pro. I prefer over ear than in ear because if i am running I want to hear environmental sounds and be alert, I also want to avoid possible ear infections that can result by in ear earphone usage. I also considered getting a BT adapter for half the price of these, and use it on the Sporta Pro. I may do that in the future on some occasions, but then you need to wrap and tie the cord, and also you lose the phone mic possibility. These have a nice controller on the cord. On / Off, stop playing, volume up / down, or next / previous song with long press. I hate that the battery does not seem to be replaceable, so after a year or so these would end up in a landfill. I wish Koss offered a spare battery or battery replacement rather than making an item that is disposable after the expiration date.

What I was looking for
In ear style headphones have caused me a lot of sinus and ear problems throughout the years as I basically wear headphones for eight or more hours a shift due to my work. I had owned a pair of similar headphones many years ago, non-bluetooth, and was hopeful a pair like these would be a good replacement for traditional earbuds. The price had me hesitant, as did reviews of them not lasting long, but I gave these a shot anyways. It’s been a couple weeks and I can say these are exactly what I was looking for. Comfortable, easy to charge, and the sound quality is great. I don’t feel they seal the best against my ears, but they do the job just fine for me regardless.

Alright not great
UPDATE: After 3 months of use in an office setting, the headphones will no longer turn on. The LED indicator light shows that they are fully charged but after unplugging from the charger the headphones will not power on. Junk I previously owned the much cheaper wired version of these for several years but they broke recently. I Bought to use with my work issued recent model Dell laptop thinking having Bluetooth and a microphone would be an upgrade but I’m not impressed. While I am sure the fault for many of my problems with these headphones lies more heavily on Dell using inferior Bluetooth hardware in the laptop combined with Windows’ poor Bluetooth optimization, I feel it is worth mentioning that these do not work well with a laptop. I have to go through the connection process every single day and sound quality for music and teams calls is pretty bad. Beyond that the battery life is not good, for headphones connected to each other by a wire and with this much plastic I feel like I should get at least a full day of battery out of them but I don’t even get one full workday of occasional use out of them before needing to recharge. I like the style and they are comfortable and enjoy being able to get up from my desk to run to the printer or whatever without interrupting my music but I was much happier with the wired version.

Dont bother with these faulty earphone pads!
These, sadly, are not Koss's best product by a longshot. Though the clip piece is rather sturdy and easy to move, with about a 340 degree rotation circle, only stopped by the actual reverse side of the circular headphone piece, so it's really excellent in that regard, I would figure especially if you had long hair. It doesn't come with any adjustable joints other than the main swivel joint, nor did it have rubber protectors like other models I've used have. Thankfully, the clip is very smooth in texture, and designed in a comfortable way. Adjustments are rarely necessary, and the pads dont stick out like Dumbo ear satellites like other ear clip models do. The sound is definitely above par, but not superior to most headphones, especially those huge noise cancelling headsets. Those big kinds and earbuds hurt my ears, so I never use them. I prefer ear clips with pads. The connectivity is decent, but takes som time to get fully recognized and connected for both call and media sound. Probably around 10 seconds once the button is held. It's easy to tell if its hooked up, as there are different beeping sounds it plays when you turn them on or off, connection, losing or lost connection, and low or dead battery. I would say the battery life is about 6 hours, but that's reasonable for a small battery. But for such a small battery, it sure charges slowly. About 3 hours from empty to full, compared to my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 8) at 2 hours. The flashing blue light shows the power is on, and solid red is charging, solid blue is fully charged. The main problem I have with this product is the ear pads. The foam piece over the earpiece comes off easily. I mean really easily. I've had these for 2 months and after 1 month they already fell off. I ordered 2 sets at once, and both pads on both sets fell off. Trying to put them back on is impossible. Unless you use superglue. But who wants to do that? Last thing is the charger port and charger cable. Absolute crap. You have to fiddle with it to even make a proper connection. I had to take the charger cord and the longest earphone cable (the signal device is off center) and wrap it around my water thermos to get a solid connection. Plus the rubber cover over the port gets in the way and further bends the connector. I just tore the covers off. Then I used the USB charger from my gamepad, and it fit snugly and plugged in perfectly without having to adjust it to get a connection. Now I have no issues. Plus the cable is short... but has a nice USB female plug to fit the other USB male plugs into it, which it has in the box, but also so you can use 2nd hand USB to micro USB cables if you want. So I give this 2 stars. Looking for better ones already after 2 months. Dont bother with this product. Sorry Koss. Most of your other stuff is great, but you missed the mark on these. Fix the charger and the earphone pads, then you'll have a product worthy of 5 stars, which i would actually like to see.

These headphones are just what the Doctor ordered!
I wore the apple iPod pro for years and most of the time in my right ear only when I went to bed because I didn’t want to disturb my husband, who was sleeping. All of a sudden I couldn’t hear well out of my right ear. I never used Qtips. I told my primary doctor and she told me to use Debrox to clean out my ear and I did and then I couldn’t hear at all out of my right ear. I went to the ENT doctor and it felt like he used a drill to clean out my ear and then I heard perfectly again. He told me never to use Apple iPod pro again. What do I do? I remembered my son bought for me as a gift the Koss headphone and they didn’t mess my hair. I went looking for them and found them but to my dismay they were plug ins. I couldn’t use them! I immediately went to Amazon, my go to place for everything, and found them and they were wireless. I bought them and they were wonderful. The ear clip moved and you placed it on the ear with no problem and my husband couldn’t hear a thing, but I could hear him and I was happy about that. I immediately ordered another pair so that I have a spare and I’m considering ordering more as gifts. Don’t hesitate to order them if you need something that you don’t have to stick in your ear and an even better part they work and they’re a lot cheaper! Try them, You won’t be disappointed!

Good value. One notch below Porta Pros, but still good!
My go-to headphones are wired porta pros, but I wanted something wireless for listening to podcasts and music while walking around home or at the gym. For twenty bucks they are certainly better than anything you'd pick up at Walmart or Dollar General for the same price. Pros: * Good sound * You can hear your surroundings * Comfortable semi-adjustable ear clips * Wire is good for taking the headphones off and wearing them around your neck * Good tactile buttons * Easy to pair Cons: * Always connects to phone at way to loud of a volume (might be an Android issue) * Sound is probably the best you can get for $20 and wireless, but it's still noticeably worse than $40 wired porta pros * Mic quality is meh. * Micro USB port These are good for low movement exercising like weight lifting, but I am not sure if they would do well on runs.

they are good, but only because there ain't many other options
I was looking for clip on headphones for year but could never find the right ones. They were either crazy expensive or from some sketchy unknown brand. I've heard good things about Koss so I gave these a shot, here is a list of the pro's and con's I have with them: PROS: - good build quality, they are all plastic but don't feel cheap like your everyday library headphones. - good sound quality, even though the drivers aren't held snug against your head by a headband, the sound was surprisingly good. - they fit comfortably around your ear, even with glasses on. CONS: - the cable feels very fragile, at just under 2mm thin it feels like I could cut them with my fingernails. make sure that the cable isn't stressed or bent when using or charging. - the battery life is okay, surprising for its size. But at lower charge (~20-30%) they will give low battery 'beep' warnings until they shut off. I'm not sure if this is something the headphones do or my phone but It also sometimes sends frequent push notifications to your phone while at lower charge, which can get very annoying. PRO/CON: - They are very light, apart from them clipping to your ear, you barely feel them. But because they are so light, the button control will swing quite a bit while exercising. all and all, pretty good headphones, make sure you keep them charged.

Good
Not too bad. Convenient use with iPhone for meetings. Work well. Do not work with a desktop computer. Actually I am able to pair but wasn’t able to make them work - say connected but don’t work. Not very comfortable on the ears, but they work. Wish they had a volume control or mute. Not always connect automatically. Lots of time need to repair them. Happy overall.

Quite good as over-ear headphones
I picked these as a replacement for Sony MDR series headphones, long discontinued. They are comfortable to wear, although in the long term, I worry that the ear loops lack of spring loading may weaken over time. For reasons I do not understand, every time they connect, the volume is near maximum, a feature which not present on other Bluetooth headphones, so I always lower the volume prior to starting any media. Unlike the Sony MDR though, these have a microphone, and remote controls, so they have more versatility.

Koss Kopfhörer BT221ik Ear Clips - Blau inkl. Versand ca 47€. Großartig! Angenehm klein. Gute Verarbeitung.
