I would say this would be too strong for you , my advice would be to start with step 2 based only on my personal experience not any actual expertise

I was a 30+ a day. One 25mg patch a day was fine for me. I tried a lower dose patch before these but they weren't strong enough and I caved!! These ones worked great. Yes although it's not advised. Mind you don't smoke in your sleep so you shouldn't wear them. Also they mess with your mind and give you dodgy sleeps. When I quit I had one lying very local to me for the morning and changed my routine so I was distracted until it kicked in.
