Works on an old monitor to new computer
Bought new pc with only hdmi output. Tried vga to hdmi adapter. This failed within 30 minutes (black screen). I then saw the dvi connector on the back of the monitor. Bought this cable and it worked.

Converts video just fine.
I have an electronic box that allows me to switch keyboard, mouse, and monitor between two separate computers, my old Windows 10 and newer Windows 11. The problem was the switch box only accepts video input in DVI format and my Windows 11 computer only puts out HDMI. This conversion cable enables me to still use the switch box to go between the two computers effortlessly.
