Hercules DJControl Inpulse 200 — DJ controller - 2 tracks with 8 pads and sound card

I am coming from vinyl turntables to this. It really is a lot easier to learn on vs vinyl. Vinyl takes a lot of skill to get good at it and I think that is a big barrier. I went from basic mixing on vinyl to being able to easily do more advanced mixes. It means that it is a lot easier for anyone to get into and be good at it. The impulse 200 has some great features like the beat guide for beat and tempo matching to allow you to build skills and eventually get to the point where you can drop on the platers and manual beat match by ear if you want. The whole point of the product is an entry level learning experience bundled with a free tutorial that really helps. I learned a lot of things from the course that have helped me improve. The djuced software is great at giving a full experience and the ability to record which is essential in becoming better. Serato lite doesn't give you that option and I know there are work arounds but I think to start with you can't go wrong trying djuced. People say you should go with Serato because it is industry standard but if you know how to DJ I can't really see a problem with having to learn to use Serato later, loops, effects, samples and other features won't change and will be similar in controlling. The quality is great for the price and the up faders feel really nice. The one thing that is annoying for manual tempo matching is the short pitch faders. I am use to really long throw ones on decks but these need two hands to pin point adjust which is not great. Update 2022: I moved software as I switched to mixxx on Linux but although it mapped the controller no issue it has a lot of bugs and crashes which could be down to hardware. Really struggling to mix quickly and tempo match on the go, again tempo sliders are really hard to use and you end up just syncing the two tracks together out of frustration.

It's not big as it seems but worth the price. I am no pro wuth a dj controller, but I have used it once and it was quite handy. It's good for beginners. The software on computer is great too, as it has help avaliable whenever I was getting stuck. The buttons and built quality is simply great. I love how the lights turn on and the disks. I highly recommend this for house party's and for beginners

This DJ set now proudly stands in our daughter’s bedroom .. gathering dust. She has DJ apps on her iPads and throroughtly enjoys creating tracks in that manner. Therefore we through it a nice idea to get her in to the real thing through this affordable and apparently easy to understand DJ table. But she has only used it twice and got pretty bored by it. So far our dinner parties or summer patio lounge sessions have not been audibly enhanced with life DJ music. And by now I know it will never be the case. So far I have been loathe to dig int o the manual and help her out a bit. With some foresight and suspicion, I have kept the box and this set will probably end up on an auction site soon. Having said that, the set looks to be of good quality and works well. We have connected it to several laptops (Mac and Chromebook), a standalone guitar amplifier and our high-end surround sound system - with the latter this worked only up to a point unfortunately as it started to has issues with the bass booster, that I had to switch off. The free software is easy to access and very helpful to get you going, though I would have preferred some more included printed instructions and reference of what each button actually does. The instruction video’s are intuitive. Of course as step up DJ set the options and functionalities are a little limited. But as a non-expert in the world of DJ-ing I think its a good product that probably has all the basic features to get you going. It arrived well packaged and the whole thing looks quite durable.

I used to bedroom dj'ing a lot back in the early 2000's a lot of but things have been changed so did my musical taste.Latley i started to mixing again just for kill my boredom.i never used any DJ gear exept a really basic Behringer mixer hooked on a pc. I started to looking for some cheap solution because i really didn't want to spend a $hiload of money for dj gear just for myself.So i choosed this controller,really basic and it has everything if you want to learn the basics.Gives you a really good feeling just using is,like spinning the jogweels and setting the knobs etc.So really-really fun. I using on Linux with Mixxx software,works just fine,except the beatmach guide where the controller helps if you have to fine tune on a jogweel forward or backward.(but that's for beginners (lol) i don't miss it personally,you get more experience if you listen it carefully) So yeah really fun little toy for bedroom dj'ing or house parties with friends.One of the cool feature is jogwheel top is touch sensitive (or something like that) so it only works if you spin the top of it,but if you want to adjust the jogwheel with touching the side of it,it's not working. The only thing i miss is led of the audio levels (which the 300 series has) becuase the Mixxx software i'm using it not perfectly realiable in that part.

Bought this for my partner who really wanted to start DJ. We’ve looked at every option before deciding on this one. It’s really easy to use and honestly fantastic! He sounds like a pro! Fantastic piece of kit, you can easily keep that one for ever even when you’re no longer a beginner

This is a great starter deck for anyone looking to get started with Djing. The product doesn't feel cheap and the knobs/ buttons and decks feels good to use and are very responsive to what you need. While certain features are missing from this deck I don't believe this is a requirement for someone just starting out. For a deck under 100 I would definitely recommend this.

As a beginner DJ, I just wanted to try out the controller side if DJ-ing, so I bought this controller and everything was awesome, it worked perfectly out if the box and there was a tutorial from Hercules themselves for this controller so it made it even better and easier. One thing that Ive seen that is a bit of a quality concern is that sometimes the button doesn’t press that fast but of course you can say that you can expect that from this price point. Recommended if you are starting out.

First unit had a loose connection in the headphone jack straight out the box, it's replacement lasted 2 weeks, then the filter knob for deck 2 started malfunctioning... So I question the build quality of these units

Ich wollte etwas in die Welt des Auflegens hineinschnuppern ohne viel Geld ausgeben zu müssen. Die Software läuft top, ist übersichtlich und enthält ein Einsteigertutorial, das größtenteils nur auf Englisch ist. Das war allerdings kein großes Problem, da die Guides leicht verständlich sprechen. Das Pult an sich hat meiner Meinung nach die perfekte Größe, weder zu groß noch zu klein und enthält alle wichtigen Funktionen. Die Haptik ist für diesen Preis such sehr zufriedenstellend. Lediglich ein Cinch-Kabel muss man sich zulegen, um das Pult mit den Boxen zu verbinden. Zusammengefasst kann ich sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ausgezeichnet ist. So viel DJ-Pult für dieses Geld habe ich noch nirgends gesehen. P.S. Bin sonst keiner der Rezension schreibt, aber dieses Produkt ist einfach empfehlenswert

Nice starter controller, having used vinyl decks in my youth this was an affordable way to start mixing. Would recommend it.

Perfect for beginners ! But Not Satisfied for Advance or Pro DJs (they should purchase a dj controller with more fx and controls) Personally I Loved it ! Worth Purchasing It !
